Session 6 report

General Summary

A sad good bye

  Fassi and the party convinces Ireena that her new wolf friend has to go.   Ireena stepped away from the wolf and Quill and Heehoo hissed at it.   The wolf sadly walked off in to the woods.  

Travel talk

  Fassi and Quill make amends.   Markadoo and Kriz talk about how he is pretty much the only non animal.   Markadoo mentions he doesn't read books.   Fassi mentions she comes from a college.   Quill opens up about her love of books and offers to share with Fassi.   Markadoo mentions that the best knowledge comes from experience i.e. the best way to treat a wood is rubbing cow crap in it. Kriz agrees and says cows are holy.  

The cross roads

  The party comes across a cross roads and gallows.   The cross roads indicates that the Tser pool is to the northwest while ravenloft/ vallaki are to the south west.   As the party proceeds towards the Tser pool encampent a body appears in the gallows.   Everyone sees a grey lifeless body except Markadoo who sees himself in the gallows and freaks out, turns in to a cow and starts running away. Quill runs off after him.   Fassi flew over to the gallows and cut down the body.   She investigated it but didn't see anything interesting, heehoo went over to see if it had anything in its pockets but it melted away to nothing.   Quill chased Markadoo and MArkadoo went invisible for a few moments and hid. Quill started to freak out as she was in the woods by herself. Markadoo re-appeared terribly hiding behind a tiny bush.   The others call out that it's gone. Quill goes over and re-assures Markadoo. They start making cow noises at each other which convinces Markadoo.   Fassi asks Ireena if this is a regular occurance and she replies that she has never been outside of the village of Barovia.   Upon questioning she says that her brother was not keeping her in there. She had also not been to Vallaki like everyone else as she has no need to make profit. Quill asks if she enjoys the village to which she replied that it's not great but she's had it better than most of the people there. She mentions that Ismark is a great cook.   Markadoo mentions that it was freaky that the body was him and the rest of the party work to convince him that it wasn't.  

Tser pool camp

  Markadoo reveals that he is at least 200, Quill asks him how old he gets which results in an awkward ending of the conversation.   The party comes across the camp, the people are singing and drinking. The party is welcomed in to sit by the fire as the group prepares to do something.   They sing a song and dance Fassi starts playing along. but part way in to the song, a zombie appears and they kill it before throwing it in to the fire and disappointedly going back to sitting around the fire. One of them pull out a guitar.   Fassi starts playing along.   Quill asks if they dance to draw the zombies, and is told that the Vistani want to celebrate despite the zombies.   The party is offered wine, Quill goes and drinks water from the river.   Fassi asks if the party can stay with the Vistani and they agree.   The party decides to see madam Eva before they get too drunk.  

Madam Eva's tent

  She laughs and berates the party before saying if the party has hurt feelings they should just give up.   The party mentions that they don't know what she is talking about and that they want to start a business to which Eva says that fate doesn't care about their business at the moment.   Quill is freaked out that the fortune teller seems legit.   Fassi and Quill say she is wrong and talk about the fact that they are worthy champions. Fassi does not back up Quill and they squabble a little before Fassi apologises and says she is still learning to forgive. Quill is taken by the idea of being a champion.   Kriz and Markadoo also say they are ready to become champions.   Quill asks if her yarn is safe and Eva says she doesn't feel it is safe in her possession, before closing the door to quiet the music.  

Fortune telling

  THe party gets their fortunes read   They get the charlatan, the philanthropist, the bishop, the artifact and the darklord.   Fassi asks how to be metal, Eva says she has to live a life as awesome as she has.   Fassi pulls out her lute which has two goat horns drawn on the top of it.   Fassi continues to get more information on how to become metal and Eva and becomes tired of her.   Quill learns that Strahd is the ancient and a potential enemy.   Quill draws the cards.  

Festivities

  The party all eat their pies,   They talk around the fire and talk with the Vistani.   They discuss the Mortu tavern owners in the village of barovia and that they became Mortu because they gave up their life of travelling.   They mention that there isn't really much else to life than wine in Barovia, Quill mentions that dancing and attracting zombies are good substitutes.   Krish wants to buy a horse but they refused. Markadoo mentioned he could be a horse.   Fassi grabs Ireena and they dance near the fire.  

The story

A vastana tells the party the vistani story about a powerful wizard that once aposed Stahd.  

The dance

  The vistani managed to complete their song with the protection of the party.   They are all very happy.   Fassi later sings a song and the three of them who had not passed out from drinking cheer.  

Sweet dreams

  The party are shown to a tent where they can sleep.   The players discuss the windmill and that they will likely head there.   They decide to sleep in shifts with Ireena keeping watch.   The party has the best dreams they've ever had.   Quill dreams of being sorrounded by books and her drawing skills are amazing. She plays with a massive ball of yarn.   Markadoo dreams of being with his friends and tripping on mushrooms.   Heehoo is out fishing on his boat and catches sight of a giant water beast and catches it.   Kriz sits in a church drinking mead sorounded by a haram and Ireena.   Kate is performing in front of scores of adoring fans in a glittery blue robe.   The party wakes up and Ireena is very tired as she coudld't wake them.   The group woke up feeling hollow.   Quill wants more pies. Ireena advises against it.   The group agrees that they should try to make their dreams a reality.   Quill goes out and sketches a horse.   Ireena goes to sleep in the cart next to the dead wolves.  

The bunnies

  The group comes to a bunch of bushes which ended up housing some bunnies.   Quill pounces on the bush and grabs a baby bunny and runs off with it.   The parents stick their faces through the bushes.   Markadoo asks if they want to go on an adventure, and they ask him to give him their son back.   Markadoo does and the rabbits run off.   Quill names the baby rabbit Jamison   Markadoo informs her that the rabbit left. Quill starts crying and Ireena comforts her, saying that she understands and gets upset about Floofy (the wolf she had to let go of earlier).  

Onwards to Vallaki

  The players cross a bridge and continue on,   They get to a fork in the road and end up heading towards Strahd's castle instead of to Vallaki by accident.   Out of the mountains comes a startled looking fox that jumps in to Markadoo's arms.   Six dire wolves emerge as well as gaint wolf with a red streak along his back.   Markadoo hands the fox to Fassi and hides in a bush before turning in to a wolf and re-emerging. He tries to convince the wolves that it's a cool fox but they ignore him.   The party readys to fight except Quill who prepares to run.   The big wolf seems to smile at the whole party and looks disappointedly at quill before leaving with the rest of the pack.
