Session 4 report

General Summary

A strange visitor

While in the bedroom the party see a transparent floating cat come through the wall and talk to Heehoo. He calls him Bud and grants him a new weapon before leaving stating that he doesn't want to be trapped here like the others.

Sneaking around the mansion

Heehoo, Fassi and Kriz go to bed. Markadoo and Quill decide to sneak out of their bed.
Markadoo turned in to a cat.
They sneak in to the side room and find the dead burgo master.
They find him in a makeshift coffin with suns carved in to it.
After poking him a few times they agree that he is in fact dead.
They go to sleep, Quill sleeps next to Ireena.

Mansion under attack

At midnight the party are awoken by the howling of wolves and gather together.
Heehoo stayed asleep
Quill, Ireena and Ismark braced the door. The other party members looked over the balcony.
Wolves started breaking through the barricades.
Kriz blocked the North door and fended off a group of wolves.
Quill ran over to aid Kriz
Markadoo charmed a wolf.
Another pack breaks in
Kriz kills a wolf with his morningstar
Quill jumps down and stabs the charmed wolf turning it hostile again then runs off.
Fassi gave the wolves disadvantage
Another wolf pack breaks in.
The door to the side room breaks open next to Fassi revealing a pack flanking from the west. One bites Fassi.
A wolf bites Kriz, the other tries to bite him but shatters its teeth on him armor.
Ismark runs over to aid Fassi, he kills a wolf. Ireena runs over too and stabs a wolf.
Kriz misses, Quill jumps down and stabs a wolf before retreating again.
Fassi heals herself, and fails to hit a wolf with her sickle.
Markadoo summons a cow spirit, Markadoo also gives everyone 7 temp hit points
The cow spirit bites off the leg of one of the wolves and it bleeds out.
A pack of wolves breaks down the front door.
A wolf bites Kriz
Heehoo wakes up and joins the fight.
Another wolf bites Kriz
A wolf bites Ismark.
Another pack of wolves breaks in.
Ismark killed a wolf.
Ireena stabs a wolf
Heehoo jumps off the balcony and slashes a wolf.
Kriz Kills a wolf by hitting it in the eyes with his morningstar spikes.
Quill jumps down and stabs a wolf and runs off.
Fassi inspires Kriz then hurts the feelings of a nearby direwolf.
Markadoo hits 2 dire wolves and 3 wolves and Kriz with an ice attack, killing a dire wolf by exploding it's head.
The cow spirit hits a wolf.
the wolves surrounding krish run over and attack Heehoo.
A wolf bites the spirit cow.
A dire wolf bites Markadoo.
Four more packs of wolves come in through the windows.
Ismark kills a wolf.
Kriz kills a wolf by swinging his morning star and destroying all of its legs.
Quill jumps down and is a little overwhelmed by the sight of the new packs but still manages to kill a wolf. She then retreats into the kitchen.
Fassi is overwhemled is casts shatter, dealing massive damage to three packs of wolves but unfortunately knocking Ireena unconsious. She then healed her though.
The wolves begin to leave. Markadoo tries to get information from them but they say fuck you.
As the last one leaves a fireball comes down and kills it.

Strahd appears

Strahd tries to convince Ireena to come with him as it is clearly too dangerous.
Ireena refuses.
Strahd threatens that he will no longer protect her and leaves.
Ismark and Ireena thank the party for helping.
Ismark is happy to have more wolf meat.
Quill leaves the food prep room and joins the others.

Night time antics

As everyone begins to re-build the barricades Quill sneaks back to the kitchen and hears a faint banging coming from the door leading outside.
Fassi talks to Ireena.
Fassi finds out Strahd is making romantic advances towards Ireena and sometimes calls her Tatyana.
Ismark believes Strahd is sending the wolves.
They haven't left because they want to bury their father.
Fassi promises to help bury their father in the morning. And escourt Ireena to safety after the burial.
Before the three of them head to bed.
Quill proceeds to check out the noise by opening the door.
She sees a zombie and quickly closes the door and barricades it.
She then goes to bed.

A new day

Everyone gets up and gathers downstairs. They hear a thumping on the door.
Ismark opens the door to see who it is and it's the zombie.
He closes the door.
Quill makes a noose and tries to tie to the zombie but fails. The zombie shambles in to the house and attacks her.
The party proceed to kill the zombie. Noting the fact that whenever it lost a limb, they seemed to come to life.
They grab the coffin to take it to the cemetary.
They notice more people out and about.
On their way to the church they hear crying coming ftom a building. Down a street they see an old lady with a pie cart.
They eventually make it to the church.

The church

The characters reach the church.
They enter the church and hear someone call "Father I am hungry" from the basement.
Quill was hesitant but Ismark assured her he knew about the person in the basement. Ismark informs them that the preist's son went against strahd. He was lucky enough to return but he is not himself and it is best he is in the basement.
The group meet father Donovich praying to the morning lord. He is more than happy to help bury the burgomaster.
The party enquiry about his son but Donovich is convinced that only the morning lord can help him now.
The party proceed to the graveyard.

The cemetery

The party bury the Burgomaster and Ismark and the Donavich say some nice words.
The party notices Strahd watching from afar.
Donavich turns to the party and asks if they would like to help his son. He informs that them that he doesn't have much hope of them being able to help.
Ismark is convinced that it's a lost cause.
Kriz enquires about Donavich's son. Donvich reveals he hungers for human blood but has not fed in a year.
He reveals his name is doru and that he doesn't want any harm to come to his son. The party decide that they can't do much to help right now.

Back to the church

Father Donavich goes back to praying.
Fassi wants to check out the other rooms in the church so Kriz goes and prays with Donavich to distract him.
He soon realises that Kriz does not worship the morninglord and asks him to leave.
Fassi discovers Doru's room as well as a room containing a trap door to the basement.
She tells the rest of the party.
Ireena asks the party more about themselves since she barely knows them.
Fassi tells her about her old band.
Quill ended up here because she was bored and curious.
Kriz needed money because he spent all his money drinking.
Markadoo was a farmer Ireena is happy about this as she is sick of eating wolf.
Ireena mentions that they can't go home and no one can leave except the Vistani.
That the Vistani in the tavern are believed to be spies of Strahd.
That they sell potions that allow you to leave Barovia.
That Madam Eva can tell their future and that she can be found at the Tser pools and she can lead the way.
