Session 30 report
General Summary
Vistani camp
The party approach the camp. Quill and Fassi decide that they don't want to enter and hang out on the outskirts. As Kriz and Isabell proceed they detect the presence of another person coming towards the camp. He is wearing a dusty brown monk's robe and appears to be wearing heavy armor underneath. On his back a shield. He seems to have a bright eyed, go getter attitude. Isabell: Step back you are freaking me out.Smiling stranger: oh alright, i'm looking for someone
Isabell: you are making me uncomfortable, who are you looking for?
Smiling stranger: I'm looking for a madame Eva? I think she might be in this place.
Isabell: Never heard of her, though we are looking for people too.
Kriz: Why are you looking for madame Eva?
Smiling stranger: She might be able to help me find a person named Ireena? You wouldn't happen to know anyone like that would you?
Kriz: We know some things, though first thing's first, my name is Kriz. What's your name?
Renwith: Oh, um, RENWITH - His face turns angry as he says the name.
He apologises for the slip up.
Kriz: I know Ireena is not here at the moment. She's with Strahd right now, is that a problem?
Renwith: Oh. That's going to make it difficult.
Kriz: Are you associated with Strahd?
Renwith: I met him once, he seems like an alright chap. we didn't talk very long, he rode off on his GIANT FIRE HORSE.
Isabell purposefully keeps Kriz positioned between her and Renwith.
Renwith: What brings you both here?
Kriz: We are looking for some people, Ireena being one of them.
Isabell: We are looking for someone in particular.
Kriz: I don't know if we should say names.
Renwith: Oh it's perfectly fine to keep secrets. These are dangerous places afterall.
Isabell: You can call me... Rose.
Renwith: Perfect, I can tell we will all be great friends!
Kriz: Friends?
Renwith: Isn't that how you make friends? You introduce yourself and say hi?
Kriz: i'm just weary of people I meet in the woods is all. The party continues towards the camp. The woods part to reveal an expansive clearing: a small, grass-covered hill with low houses built into its sides. Fog obscures the details, but you can see that these buildings feature elegantly carved woodwork and have decorative lanterns hanging from their sculpted eaves. Atop the hill, above the fog, is a ring of barrel-topped wagons that surround a large tent with a column of smoke pouring out through a hole in the top. The tent is brightly lit from within. Even at this distance, you can smell the odors of wine and horses that emanate from this central area. There is a man in a dark cloak standing in front of the house closest to the party.
Isabell: let's see if he will help us.
Kriz approaches
Kriz: Hello friend
Guard: Hello
Kriz: Why are you here?
Guard: Well, i'm not exactly allowed to leave
Guard looks up, the party notes he has dark skin and hair. He resembles an elf.
Kriz: Can we enter?
Guard: You can't enter the house i'm guarding but I don't care what you do in the camp.
Kriz: Are there any vistani here?
Guard: Yes, this is a vistani camp
Kriz: are you vistani?
Guard: No, *chuckles*, clearly you are not from around these parts. Did you say something?
Renwith: No, just admiring the meadow.
Guard: It would be nice if it wasn't a prison
Isabell realises he is a dusk elf.
Guard: I'm not really one for words and I have a job to do but if you would direct you to eaither the tent at the top of the hill, or Kasimir. He's our leader.
Isabell: Where is Kasmir?
Guard: In the south most house.
Isabell: I think it's best we talk to him before going to the tent
Renwith: Before we go, are you well known around these parts? Do you have a name
Guard: I'm not well known as I don't move from this hill but my name is Legolas. If you tell them Legolas sent you, they will let you in. Isabell is cautious of Renwith and trys to spot if she can see anything sus
Renwith to Kriz: I think your friend is giving me the eye.
Kriz: I think she's on edge
Renwith: That's fine there's usually lot's of edgers around me. The party proceed to the south of the encampment. Guards watching them as they walk past. As they proceed, they hear the yell of a man in pain coming from the tent.
Isabell notices a momentary grin on Renwith's face.
Isabell: Let's keep going, hopefully he can hold out. The party reach the house.
Three guards stand out front on cloaks.
Kriz relays the message and they are let into the house. They see a cloaked figure sitting at the head of the room. The room is decorated with wooden statuettes of dities. There is a tapestry of some woods hangs on one wall. The figure greets them and remarks that it's nice to have some company as the vistani are a bunch of drunkards.
Isabell asks for more information about this location
Kasimir: the buildings belogn to the dark elves. We are forced to stay here. The outside world is quite unforgiving. The vistani won't let us leave either.
Isabell: Do you work with the Vistani?
Kasimir: They protect us, at the cost of our freedom.
KrizL how did you end up in this situation?
Kasimir: We learned that we shouldn't piss Strahd off. We may have learned that lesson too late.
Kriz: WHat happened?
Kasimir: My sister was a woman full of sin, to remove the sin from her we stoned her to death. Strahd was not happy with this and there were consequences. Kasimir removes his hood to reveal that his ears have been cut off.
Kasimir: He gave me this unique appearance, and he also slaughtered the women and the children in our village. We doomed to not be able to procreate. We are also held prisoner here by the vistani. If we left there would be consequences.
Isabell: You don't like the vistani?
Kasimir: Not really no, but without them we would be screwed.
Kriz: Are they always here watching over you?
Kasimir: Yes, though there are currently less vistani in the camp. From what I gather, Luvash's daughter has gone missing.
Kriz: Who?
Kasmir: Luvash is on eof the leaders of the camp
Kriz: What was your sister's name?
Kasimir: Patrina. She felt that she was romantically involved with Strahd, this was confirmed when Strahd reacted to what had happened with such anger. I have since longed to free her and bring her back to life.
Kriz: how would you do that?
Kasimir: Perhaps it's just the imagination of someone who has been stuck in one place for too long. I am aware that her remains lie in the bottom of castle ravenloft.
Kriz: Why was it such a sin to be involved with Strahd?
Kasimir: Strahd is a blight upon these lands. I am doomed to this existance of nothingness because of him.
Kriz: Would it not be better to fight is soldiers and not your own sister?
Kasimir: It was her decision, and I freed her of her sins by stoning her. Now that she is free of her sins I would like to bring her back to life.
Renwith: A very painful way to go.
Kasimir: you have knowledge of this?
Renwith: Things like that, yes.
Kasimir: The pain is what cleansed the sin, if it was a quick way to go, it wouldn't have done her justice.
How do you all feel towards Strahd?
Isabell: not really the biggest fan.
Kriz: Maybe we can help each other
Kasmir: I've heard rumours of a place that could help us iradicate Strahd. It could help free these lands of his curse but I will warn you that it is only rumours.
Further, i'm not certain you are ready to go there yet. Check in from time to time and I will measure your worth.
Kriz: What would make us ready?
Kasimir: Tell me of your conquests
Kriz: We have cleared out a druid encampment to the west of here.
Isabell: We killed snake zombies
Kriz: we faught the death house
Kasimir: These are all the games of children, come to me when you have accomplished bigger things than that because I fear the place I would lead you to would be my doom as well as yours If I were to escort you at present.
The place that I speak of is a place of... Amber...
Isabell: Is there a hag there by chance?
Kasimir: I have never been there. I've heard that it is a place of death and a place of torment. A place of great evil. A hag would swim in a kiddy pool in comparison to the amber temple.
Isabell: It's not a tree then?
Kasimir: I am not aware of a tree made of amber
Kriz: Is this by any chance related to the weapon knwon to be the bane of Strahd's existance?
Kasimir: I have no idea.
Renwith: Amber is quite a rare substance isn't it?
Kasimir: I haven't heard of it anywhere else in these lands. There is much knowledge I can share with you that would get you there safer but I am not going to share it with you because I can see the ambition in your eyes and fear you would attempt the journey alone.
Renwith: AH, one of the more interesting pains in life is the pain of waiting.
KAsimir: I can't say it is one that I enjoy, but it is one I have become accustomed to.
Kriz: Underneath the castle, we faced a crippling cold.
Kasimir: You've been in the castle? Why were you in the castle?
Kriz: We were invited there by Strahd as guests.
Kasimir: It doesn't sound like you are on bad terms with him.
Kriz: Strahd killed one of our friends and kidnapped another. We were kicked out of Vallaki for standing up to him
Kasimir: You may have been kicked out of the town but you are welcome to stay with me from time to time, just don't overstay your welcome.
Kriz: So do you know anything about the cold?
Kas: I have never been in castle ravenloft
Isabell: I believe your sister may be alive, sounds crazy right?
Kas: What are you talking about?
Isabell: His friend's name that was kidnapped, her name is Ireena.
KAS: My sister's name is Patrina, what of it.
Isabell: Ireena, Marina, Tatyana and perhaps Patrina all seem to be reincarnations of a woman who is fated to be with Strahd in some way or another. Patrina may have been another reincarnation. Strahd has captured Ireena. MAybe in this incarnation she wanted to resist Strahd.
Kas: I will need some time to reflect on this. In the meantime, please return to me when you have some more admirable conquests under your belt.
Kriz: Aren't the vistani a problem? How will you deal with them?
Kas: I would say if you are strong enough to go to the amber temple, you'd be strong enough to rid us of some vistani.
Isabell: If we started beef with the vistani now would you hate us?
Kas: The Vistani protect us, without them we would be food for the wolves.
Isabell: We have a safe place, we could probably set up soomething with the order of ravens.
Kas: You have enough room to house a village of dusk elves?
Isabell: How many of you are there?
Kas: Around 30
Kriz: Are there any other allies who could look after you?
Kas: We would be happy to relocate as long as we are protected.
Isabell: The only problem is that the Vistani have on eof our close allies. He is a beast master and helps raise beasts.
Kas: It sounds like you don't like the vistani either.
Kriz: Maybe we should check on the tent.
Isabell: Alright thank you.
KAS: Let me know if you find this dusk elf utopia that you speak of. IN the meantime, i'd appreciate if you didn't go killing the vistani. Not that i'm certain you would be able to.
Though if you were to kill them, you would need to protect us.
Or my knowledge may become lost to the maw of some wolf.
Kriz: Understood.
Kas: You are all welcome in my home
With that he puts his hood back on and sits staring into the fireplace. The party leave the hovel.
Things are getting in tents
The party head towards the tent. There is a circle of wagons sourounding the tent.There is horse dung everywhere. The party hear laughter coming from inside on fo the wagons, followed by another scream of pain coming from the tent. Isabell: Renwith, are you wearing heavy armour under that?
Renwith: Yes, how did you know?
Isabell: Because I can hear it clanking
Renwith: Fair enough Isabell decides to knock on the door of the wagon with laughter The door opens. Four Vistani are inside playing a dice game.
The one who opens the door asks who they are
Isabell: we are just travellers, say, what's going on in that middle tent?
Vistana: What's it to you?
Isabell: just trying to gauge if you guys are cool.
Vistana: What are you doing in our camp?
Isabell: we got lost
Renwith: Would you know a madame Eva?
Vistana: Madame Eva travels with the other vistani. Do we all look the same to you?
I understand how you can get us mixed up I suppose, you aren't here to cause trouble are you?
Renwith: Not with the likes of you
Vistana: If you'll excuse us, we are in the middle of something, what do you want.
Isabell: Know you can go back to it.
The vistana closes the door. Kriz: I suppose we continue towards the tent?
Isabell: I think we should just try to find out if he is in there The party discuss sneakily sussing it out.
As they are discussing they hear more screams of pain from the tent and a whip crack.
The party abandon stealth and decide that they need to hurry up. Proceeding towards the tent entrance they spot that one of the wagons looks far nicer than the others. I has drapes of gold, and gold sun shaped hubcaps, Isabell knocks on it.
No one answers. Getting back on task Isabell comes up with a plan to burn a cart to create a diversion.
Another whip crack followed by a yell. Noteable conversation snippet: Kriz :Maybe we can set fire to the cart with the gamblers in it to create a distraction and sneak inside
Isabell: we don't want to piss them off, plus the elves need them as protection.
Kriz: who cares it's only four. ---- The party resolve to steal anything valuable from the gold cart and then set it on fire.
In the meantime they untie three horses so they will get scared and run off, adding to the chaos. The party proceed to the gold cart to find that it is locked.
No one has the ability to open the door.
They decide smashing it might not be the best course of action. Another whip crack
Another Ahhhhhh Kriz: so should we just burn this regardless of what's inside? Voice from inside the tent: Easy brother, I think Alexie has learned his lesson. Isabell: ... Alexie? :/... maybe we should just go see who's there. Fuck it, let's go to the tent.
They decide that having two party members in heavy armor would not bode well to stealthing so they should just approach the tent.
If things go south, they can just fireball the tent right? The party enter the tent
Three sputtering campfires fill the tent with smoke, and through the haze they see six Vistani passed out in various places on the dead grass. A barely conscious and shirtless teenager hugs the central tent pole, his wrists bound with rope and his back streaked with blood. An older, larger man in studded leather armor is holding a horsewhip. Standing in the bigger man's shadow is a third man also clad in studded leather.
Kitty's head is cooking on the fire, portions have been butchered.
Rictavio is tied to a pole, unconscious. Beaten to within an inch of his life The duo welcome the party as "The ones who brought Rictavio to their attention".
The large one eyes off the new comers before stating that in the vistani camp, everyone is friends unless they become enemies.
He remarks that he would offer a drink but is running low on wine.
He also states there is not much to celebrate as Alexie let his daughter escape.
Kriz states he's heard about that
The big one asks where
Kriz: around camp
Big one: Those lazy sacks of shit playing dice while my daughter is missing... I do allow it, I need to keep morale up since half of our camp has been killed by a tiger. That problem is being addressed.
He points towards Rictavio who is unconsious, fucked up and chained to a pole.
Big one: To what do we owe the pleasure?
Isabell: We heard rumours of your missing daughter and thought you could use our services.
Big one: While you are here, can I interest you in some potions that would help you leave Barovia? They allow you to travel through the mists like us.
Kriz: How much?
Big one: 5gp
Isabell: Can I have a look?
Big one: You don't trust us?
Isabell: It sounds too good to be true is all
Big one: Business is built on trust and if you do not trust me, don't take the potion. I don't care if you take it or not, I enjoy your company here anyway.
I actually prefer that you don't leave, especially as you have been acting like our rats.
Renwith: You have a rat problem?
Big one: No, no, these people told us of this man over here who killed half our encampment. He promised them a good entertaining show. Then he unleashed his tiger on the crowd. The head of which is over that fire. We have been eating it. It is a nice change from wolf.
Kriz: How about we purchase one potion?
Big one: Take one, take a bunch, I don't care.
Kriz: ok deal
Kriz: buys one potion.
The party notice the smaller one is standing back and observing.
Kriz: tell us more about your daughter
Big one: She's always had an interest in Vallaki, I told her not to go there but she heard rumours that Lady WAchter is letting the Vistani in now. That doesn't mean it is safe! I've sent a lot of my men out searching accompanied with dusk elves as they are quite good trackers. Hopefully they can find Arabelle. You have been helpful so far would you consider having a look for her? Either that or we are running out of wine. If you could hel us with either of those things we would be greatful. If you did either of these I would give you a free potion. In fact, if you did either of these acts, I would give you a chest from my treasure wagon.
Kriz: Treasure wagon?
Big one: Don't worry about my treasure wagon unless you find my daughter or bring me wine.
Kriz: How much wine would you need?
Big one: I would gladly swap a potion for one barrel, though for five I would give you some treasure.
Kriz: we will keep that in mind.
Big one: If you do find my daughter, make sure nothing happens to her.
He slaps Alexie on the back.
Kriz asks about the passed out Vistani
Big one introduces himself as Luvash and states that they were all fighting over the remains of the wine and ended up drinking until they passed out.
Luvash: So what brought you to our tent?
Renwith: The beautiful sound
Luvash: Oh the music?
Renwith: yes, yes.
Luvash: Let me play one of our most well renowned songs.
= Proceeds to play an actual 2 minutes of "We're all in this together".
Luvash: I'm glad you all enjoy our music.
Renwith: are you still using that?
Points to Alexie
Luvash: What do you mean by using?
Renwith: He seems pretty bloodied
Luvash: I believe he has learned his lesson, haven't you?
Alexie nods
Kriz: Why haven't you joined the search yourselves?
Luvash: Without us the dusk elves might escape.
Kriz: Aren't they all on the search?
Luvash: Not all of them. why are you so interested?
Kriz: i'm not i'm worried about your daughter
Luvash: Like I said, we have many good men searching for her. Isabell: where should we start?
Luvash re-explains what he said about Arrabelle going to Vallaki.
Isabell: Does she have anything unique on her person?
Luvash: Not that I can think of
Kriz: What are your plans with the man that used to own the sabre tooth?
Luvash: We thought of killing him. But that would not be enough for what he has done to our people. He will suffer, and he will continue to suffer. I am feeling particularly creative towards this one.
Kriz: It would be a shame for him to die too quickly.
Luvash: We intend on keeping him alive for quite some time. As you can see, his beloved pet's head is in the fire and he has taken quite the beating. He may wake up, he might not, but if he does he will wake up to find he is now blind and deaf.
Isabell: That's what you've done to him?
Luvash: Yes. What would you have done if he had taken out half of your people?
Isabell: MAybe I wouldn't have started with that, i'm sure there's people he loved that you could have killed in front of him or something?
Luvash: There are worse things to come, don't you worry.
Renwith: If you ever need creative ideas let me know.
Luvash: I appreciate it.
Kriz: out of curiosity, how did you capture rictavio?
Luvash: He came to the town to retrieve his cat. We followed him back to the tower and marked it's location. Later we came back and tired to retrieve him. We were not successful, that was an unfortunate occurance, so we waited in the bushes for him to come out. When the door opened, we struck.
Isabell: where was this tower? We've been looking for a place to stay.
Luvash: It should be empty now, i'd be careful though, i'd be careful of the golems. One of us tried to use the lift... unsuccessfully... All I can say is do not punch the golems out of frustraition, becasue they will punch you back.
Luvash lets them know the tower location but also lets them know they would be more than welcome to stay at the camp if they find his daughter. Kriz: Do you know where the other Vistani camp is?
Luvash: No, they tend to travel around. Last I heard they were at Tser falls.
Renwith: You have been very helpful.
He asks for their names.
He knows Luvash but finds out the other's name is Arrigal.
Arrigal begins to untie Alexie while Luvash starts to walk towards Rictavio.
The party leaves.
Looking for Arabelle
As the party venture back to Vallaki, Isabelle proposes that they could hold the daughter hostage in exchange for Rictavio.Kriz reasons that after the exchange the vistani would probably just murder them all.
Isabelle: Don't worry, we'll figure it out.
Renwith: In the meantime at least your friend will still be alive
Isabelle: Wow, your old party really fucked shit up.
Renwith: out of curiosity, who is the guy you are trying to save?
Isabelle: He is an ally of ours and my old friends' mentor.
Renwith: Ah, well if he's not in too rough of a shape when we get back, I might be able to fix him. The characters continue to get acquainted on the road. They reach vallaki and realise they need a way to get back in to town. Kriz realises his horse is starting to turn skeletal, though otherwise seems fine. They plan to go to the gates and tell the guards how sorry they are. As they start to head towards the town they bump into a vistana.
They begin to ride past. Kriz greets them. They discuss looking for Arabelle.
Vistana says he knows that she isn't west of the bridge to Vallaki.
Says she may have been holding her favourite stuffed teddy wolf. Mentions somehow Blinsky makes them look cute. Unfortunately it is not unique and it is a common toy among the children. He informs them that he thinks she porbably headed towards Vallaki but he checked to the west just in case as there are others searching in Vallaki. The party continue to the gate.
A couple of cultists appear at the gates.
The party learns the town has never been better and that it's a shame that they were expelled.
Isabell asks for temporary access to the town to look for Arabelle
Cultists say no as there are already vistani in the town looking for her.
One gives them a lead that they heard Bluto the town drunk was in areas where she was last seen. He is an avid fisherman and may have taken her to lake zarovich. He states Renwith is allowed into the city but the others aren't.
Isabelle expresses that's bullshit and mutters that Renwith is their associate.
The guard hears her and Renwith is now banned also.
Isabelle: Have you tried smiling more?
Cultist: If you can't tell under my mask I AM smiling. I take great joy in depriving people of what they want.
Renwith: same
Cultist does finger gun: this guy gets it. The party proceed towards Lake Zarovich
Gone fishing
At the foot of a mountain, nestled in the misty forest, is a large lake. The water is perfectly still and dark, reflecting the black clouds overhead like a monstrous mirror. Pulled up along the south shore are three small rowboats. A fourth boat can be seen in the middle of the lake, with a lone figure sitting in it, fishing pole in hand. Isabelle trys to telepathically talk to him, but he doesn't respond and keeps fishing.He reels in his fishing line and reaches around in the boat.
He pulls up a burlap sack and throw it into the lake.
Isabelle readies a firebolt and tells the man to start talking.
He ignores her and casts the fishing rod back into the water.
Isabelle is concerned as the sack looked like it could be child sized. The party jump into boats and row out.
As they get closer they notice he is very drunk.
Isabelle dives in and pulls the sack out of the water.
The drunk man is shacking his fist and saying something unintelligable about the vistani being lucky.
The party opens the sack, revealing a little vistani girl clutching a teddy wolf.
The party ask questions but she is too busy throwing up water. The drunk man looks very disapointed.
Isabelle shoots a firebolt at him.
His boat catches on fire, the man tries to put it out by whacking it with his fishing rod, but then that catches on fire. Long story short he burns to death as the party rows away. Isabell's gut says she saw something interesting on the north shore but she's not sure what it was. The party get back to shore.
They question the child who is freaking out and explains that the man kidnapped them.
Isabelle: He won't be kidnapping anyone else lol.
The girl looks like she is calming down
Arabelle: Wait, you aren't going to kidnap me too are you?
Isabelle: well, yes... but for less evil reasons
Arabelle: oh man....
She hugs her wolf and whispers to it "Here we go again".
Isabelle: i'm not going to down you... you'll live. Worst case you might just be our child now.
The words do not calm the child as she looks up with tears in her eyes.
Isabelle:... fuck. Well we have to get our friend off your dad.
Arabelle: are you going to give me to the hags?
Isabelle: well that's an option if your father refuses...
Arabelle screams and tries to run off.
Isabelle: can someone capture the child?
Arabelle is running off towards the town. She turns to see a massive half orc paladin chasing her down.
Kriz grabs her.
She screams as her teddy wolf falls from her grasp and she starts crying.
Renwith picks it up and hands it back.
Arabelle screams for help.
Kriz covers her mouth with his hand.
A vistani on a horse appears.
Vistani: Why was she yelling for help? I'm glad you found her
Renwith: There was a miss communications
Vistani: I'll believe it when I hear it from her, remove your hand from her mouth.
Isabelle casts scorching ray on him. He disintegrates.
Arbelle's eyes go extremely wide.
Isabelle: Now we have another horse.
Isabelle misty steps onto the horse.
The horse is not happy but doesn't buck Isabelle off. Kriz and Isabelle discuss where they are going to take her.
Renwith doesn't quite get what is going on but goes along with it.
Morally kidnapping Arabelle
Isabelle asks Kriz to cover Arabelle's ears.Arabelle looks too scared to cry. Isabelle: we are going to have to blindfold her and take her to the winery. We can put her in the basement.
Kriz: who will watch the child
Isabelle: one of the ravens or something.
Kriz: I don't feel morally ok with this
Isabelle: Oh yeah, you are a paladin... fuck. Look... it's for the greater good. SEE CHILD, HE'S A PALADIN, HE WON'T HURT YOU.
Arabelle looks at Kriz uncertainly, then closes her eyes and hugs her teddy wolf. Kody meta... god damn man when I came up with this plan I thought this was a teenager going in to adult hood... ugggh. Kriz: maybe we should make the trade sooner than later before they find that body...
Isabelle: I mean they guy is ash, I had to push his blown off legs off the horse.
Kriz: I think we should just go in go out.
Isabelle: No, we would be surrounded by them. We need to set up the place of exchange.
Renwith:... I mean we could always just throw Isabelle under the bus...
Kriz:... I won't do that, but I really don't want to put a gagged child in a basement.
Isabelle: But we won't gag her, it would just be blindfolds!
Kriz: Still sounds traumatic
Isabelle:... it's a cruel world.
Kriz: Do you think the ravens would be ok with keeping a child in the basement?
Isabelle: Probably if we tell them why. Arabelle starts squirming and trying to wiggle free. Isabelle: I mean, we would make it comfortable and if the exchange goes wrong... I mean we will think of something ok? Aarabelle looks at Kriz angrily and starts slamming her fists against his arm.
Kriz: when we trade her, she is going to tell them that we killed one of the vistani
Renwith: No she won't
Kriz: huh?
Renwith: Don't worry. Isabelle blindfolds her.
The party feels bad.
They head towards the winary.
Kriz: Ok wise mage, how do we pull this off without getting ourselves killed?
Isabell: let's head to the winery first and see what the ravens say... also I may have never set up a hostage exchange before.
Arabelle looks defeated and is flopping while holding the teddy wolf by one paw. On the way to the winery Isabell spots some ornate dice made from knuckles. Isabelle picks them up and pockets them. The party continue on and reach the winery.
