Session 2 report
General Summary
A new acquaintance
As the party prepared to go down the spiral staircase to the basement they heard someone enter the house and call out to see if anyone is home. Markadoo and Heehoo went to investigate. Kriz stubbornly stayed upstairs. Markadoo and Heehoo came across a white Tabaxi named Quill who had been lead in to the house by Rose and Thorn. After a conversation they decided to let Quill join them on their journey to the basement.Entering the basement
Markadoo and Kriz entered the basement while the others were meeting. They heard a loud chanting. Quill and Heehoo soon joined them.The initiate quarters
They entered what they determined to be the quaters of some cult initiates. Here they fought two undead humans. The highlight of the battle was when Quill stood on the table and threw her daggers. One managed to explode the head of one of the endead while the other went through the other undead's ear. Kriz also managed to cave in the face of one of the undead.The cultist quaters
The group found what they determined to be the quaters of the senior cultists. In here they found a well. Quill played with this while the group caused mischief breaking chests. Hee hoo got an eyepatch with a red gem in it and 11gp of a new strange currency but did not disclose it to the group Kriz got a human skin pouch, 3 agates, a black silk hanky and a silver shortsword Markadoo got a silver hairbrush. The group brought the items together to see if they were magical. Quill also produced a ball of yarn. None of the items were magical except for the ball of yarn which had necromantic properties.The trapped hallway
As the party grew less cautious Kriz lead the way down a corridor.The chanting grew louder. Kriz wasn't paying attention and fell through some trapped floorboards. Heehoo helped him out of the pit, while the others were figuring out how to negotiate the hole, Heehoo heard some gurgling. While they were destracted two undead humans shambled their way over. Heehoo got hurt pretty bad. While the fighting was going on Markadoo headed off towards the dining room. The party managed to take down the undead but it was a close call for Heehoo.
The dining room
Markadoo entered the dinning room while his allies fought off the undead. Half the room was covered in web and the dining table had human bones on plates. He saw a small spider which frightened him, so he killed it. Because of this, a giant spider appeared from an alcove and shot web at him. Luckily he broke free. Despite killing its child Markadoo managed to befriend the giant spider and convinced it to help the party in echange for stopping the chanting.Deeper still
The party and giant spider continued further into the basement and down some stairs. Here they heard the words being chanted "He is ancient, he is the land". They came across a room full of ceremonial trinkets. Heehoo took an iron pendant with a devils face and Quill took a big shiney eye. The party continued into what appeared to be a prison and found skeletons chained to the walls. Some where missing bones which Markadoo realised were the bones found on the plates in the dining room. They found a secret opening into what appeared to be a ceremonial chamber complete with alter.The alter
Heehoo snuck in to the ritual chamber and nothing happened. As he explored Kriz followed, suddenly the chanting stopped. Heehoo, used a wheel he found to raise the portecolus blocking the way out. It revealed a 20 degree slope. Some of the party members made their way over to the alter. Upon reaching it they saw that it was blood stained with chains above it. Thirteen cult apperitions appeared and started chanting "one must die". Heehoo ignored this and began to leave. As he left a pile of debris in the corner shifted and from below it came a massive mass of writhing tentacles made from flesh and blood. It began distorted crying like that of a baby.Rewards Granted
