The world of the River Kingdom is a fantasy world on the brink of a technical revolution. Automation is becoming the rule of the day. Magic melds with machinery to make new and fascinating creations.   Things are not all rosy, however. This increasing reliance on machinery causes things to stir in the dark. New eyes watch the awakening world with great interest. New gods rise as new domains are created for them. Old gods fall as faith in them falters, and the world trembles in the wake of their passing.   Nations consolidate their power, worried by their neighbors doing the same. As technology advances, some turn these developments toward improving the world. Others, to advancing their own agendas.   As technology advances, so does the understanding of magic. As scholars explore the depths of magic, they discover more and more how magic functions at a base level. New avenues open as this understanding grows. Magic melds with technology in new and novel ways, not all of these to the benefit of the world or its people.
