The Religion of the Bright Elves

The Wise Lady is the goddess of bright elves, being mostly a deity of their society. As they consider her their own, they usually are suspicious of other people worshipping her. Thus, it is extremely uncommon for bright elves to try and spread their religion. However, if someone is believed to have her favour, her people treat the individual with uttermost respect.   According to the belief, the Wise Lady is all-knowing, gentle and understanding to the suffering of the ones who praise her. She can do anything, but not everything, and as such, her worshippers are the ones to help her accomplish her deeds in protecting people. She is the power behind the realms of elves, both the judge and saviour of her people. She has no set domains as many other gods, as she fits almost any except for death. Most commonly, she is associated with life, light and knowledge.

It is believed she is constantly fighting Darkness and dieing in the fight every month as the moon wanes, but resurrected by the love of their worshippers short after. Therefore, bright elves attach certain omens to the change of the moon and spend much of their time inspecting its colour and surface. For example, when the Wise Lady is dressed in red, it means she is preparing for battle, and hardship or war is about to come.
