The Maorka River
Flowing through the Uari Desert, this river is a natural landmark to some, and a goddess to others. The water might be somewhat dirty as it sluggishly pours through the indentations in the sand, but it is still the best possibility for those who live nearby.
It is said that the Maorka used to have a different name and a different deity ruling over it, an evil and envious entity made the river rush quickly through the territory, killing many who wanted to drink its water, or even just get too near to the foaming water. Then came the young goddess Maorka, slaying the old evil and taming the river, making many curves and bends to slow down the current, and finishing the job, becoming one with the brown-green water.
