Phrases in Badiseta

Many of the phrases in Badiseta originate from earlier times, when survival was at the forefront of the minds of every inhabitant. Prior to the advancement of technology through engagement with the regions beyond the mountains and the discovery of large caches of cyphers, Badisetas focused on perfecting their agricultural and architectural abilities. Though it has been several centuries since, many of the phrases established at this time continue on into today.   Many older written works in Badiseta contain several idioms that have either fallen out of usage or do not seem to apply to modern usage at all. One phrase, found in Tallexi's Romance of the Aneen and the Moon seems to allude to an airborne conveyance. There is much agrument as to whether the voltun, as it is called, existed only within the imagination of Tallexi, or if it was common enough to appear in a work of fiction.   The Ulbilqui appears in only one phrase with present usage. "'Til I slept on the tower's green" is commonly accepted to mean working to the point of exhaustion. But no one quite understands what "the tower's green" is in reference to. Is it a possessive form or contracted? As the Ulbilqui is not green nor has any portions of that color, the questions seem moot. As the phrase is never explained, there does not appear to be any answer forthcoming.
