Calla Tamir
Calla was an exceptionally talented artist and had taken the Artist’s Guild by storm with her innovations. She challenged accepted norms and upset the other, anachronistic establishment artists in the city. Her free spirit had ultimately been her downfall, however. She fell out of favor with the guildmaster when he discovered that Calla’s carnal appetites extended to several other men and women; his wife and his brother among them. Calla’s blacklisting resulted in a fall to poverty, and in desperation she had come to the The Temple of Velvet seeking work. Tilena saw her value immediately, and apart from her duties as Tilena’s assistant, Calla was given ample reign to continue practicing her craft. She had since taken to crafting a multitude of powders, paints, rouge and other compounds that she decorated the faces and bodies of the temple courtesans with.
