Session 24 :A Somber March Report

General Summary

[Elizabeth Reyna Lancaster] wilfrik,Ambrose, and [Tsuvi Helevir] began the arduous trek back from the Iron Legion's hideout, dragon head in tow. Before setting out, they discovered a note wrapped in a Dragon-Bane Arrow from Elias , detailing his guilt of the Death of chandler,and ultimate decision to set out on his own to atone for his failure. The party, now diminished both in number and resolve, head south by way of flight to the town of[EastChill] . Two days into the flight, they encountered snow piles on the ground, and learned that small,blueish goblin creatures inhabited the tundra. The hand-sized creatures were sizing up the party and were contemplating diplomacy when around 75 of the creatures were squished into a fine blue paste by a ravenous yeti. The Yeti stomped and smashed the ice around the party creating a ravine that rocked and forced Ambrose to keep hold of Chandler's body and of [Tsuvi Helevir]. [Elizabeth Reyna Lancaster] was frozen by the Yeti's gaze and fell into the pit, while Wilfrik boldly went toe to toe with the beast. [Elizabeth Reyna Lancaster] was able to climb out after the Yeti was tossed into the pit by Wilfrik, with the help of a singular goblin extending the rope with the use of his sticky saliva.
The party continued onward towards Eastchill. After getting close to the outskirts, the party was met in the woods by [Casper Adams] , who was brokenhearted upon hearing the news of their fallen comrade. The party soon rendezvoused with [Kildrak Bloodkith] , and made their way to the Silent Fox Inn, and were debriefed by King [Victus Kaldrek]. After delivering the tidings, the group was able to present the King with his crown, retrieved from [Hournal Coalbasher]'s study in the Ice fortress. After much carousing, celebration, as well as tears of mourning, a studious-looking dragonborn introduced himself as [Veltir Argyros], scholar and traveled sage. They discussed the magicks involved in the future resurrection of chandler, while wilkrik left his friend's body in the capable hands of the local priest, father Korban, who knew of the resurrection spell, but lacked the status to cast it. He mentioned that there may be a contact in Faenadell, in [Priest Finn Afadaemus] , who can help with the resurrection spell for Chandler. After meeting, the party then rested in Nightwell Castle.
In the morning, the party was led to the WarRoom, discussing a reward of 2000 Gold Pieces to each of the party members, as well as a plot of land to own in the Founder's Plain. After the meeting, the group ran into [Veltir Argyros] , as well as [Gnork ] , a goblin dressed in a blonde wig and pink dress. The Goblin gave Wilfrik 500 GP, proclaiming friendship to a very suspicious and confused group of adventurers. After the strange introduction, The Ghostly figure of Dervak appeared in the middle of the town square, in front of the newly planted life-sapling. The Mighty God-Avatar, burned the tree with an arcane radiance, and magical monstrosities and creatures began to overrun and besiege the city from within. The party fought and bested multiple gibbering mouthers and Bone Nagas, before they noticed that Crystal structures and walls were closing in and encircling the city of Eastchill. In the distance, [Victus Kaldrek] took up his mighty flame sword-Arnegir, and began battle in-earnest against Dervak. The party wisely retreated from the city, as the crystals raised higher and higher, until they became mighty walls of solid force. The last image of the lost city of Eastchill was a lone flaming sword hurtling towards the crystal, bouncing off the hardened material of pure magic. Ever the magical prodigy, Ambrose was able to detect leylines of magic splitting into multiple directions, each being tired directly to Dervak, with a major source coming from the East.
