Azixuma

Azixuma's Great Gloom.   Following the War of Faith, what was once a peaceful and united world has now turned to bitter darkness. Those who fought against faith have become unfair, strict, cruel and cold where as those who follow faith have become delusional and cultish. The unity of the world has been shattered and in it's undoing a power vacuum emerged.   Crime runs rampant in the world, great cities of brick and stone are rank with the stench of sin and corruption. Forests of old turned to ash, families torn, hope and faith are trampled and just getting by gets harder everyday.   Not only has faith in the gods been lost, but faith in the good of fellow mortals. What drives people forward in this day and age is no longer desire to do better or enjoy the world. It is the rush of addiction. The rush of alcoholic elixir, the rush of smoke, the rush of flesh on flesh, the rush of wealth, the rush of the battle.   These rushes are what keep the common people going, but not you. You have true desire. Whatever that desire may be, it is what keeps you going in this world.   And in this world, your goals cannot be achieved through luck and good will, it is money, connection and beyond reasonable perseverance that you will do what you must. In this great Gloom of Azixuma.
