The Indoalura

No one can tell you why it happens, or how it occurs.

There are places located in the Feywilds where your emotions can truly change who you are, both on an emotional and a physical level. This often isn't expressed to mortals of the Material Plane, as the fey want to paint their plane as a place of whimsy and child-like wonder.
When someone experiences a moment of great, emotional importance, sometimes they undergo a metamorphosis that can only be truly reverted if caught early enough. Overtime, the victim of this curse is changed into a physical manifestation of their emotion. While something magical, such as a unicorn, Psuedo Dragon, Almiraj, or Tressym, more often than not, the victim becomes something much more sinister. In these moments, the become fiends who are unable to remove themselves from the location that caused them the grief. These people usually have adventurers come in and take care of the Indoalura for a bounty, ranging from low price to high cost, depending on the emotion and complexity that is being taken care of.
So far, the only way to take care of an Indoalura is to either end their suffering through a battle or to resolve their conflict. Only then can they know peace. When facing them in combat, it is often noticed that you have multiple waves of enemies, and the adventurers must find and take care of the root cause of the emotional change to truly end the phenomenon.

• Unicorn in Kwaeqor, Archfey Ember's Hand of the Council.
• Psuedo Dragon in Faira, Seelie Treasurer
• Indoalura in Denara, Archfey Ivy's realm. This one has a strong sense of grief, sadness, and loss.
