Skain the Crafter
Crafter Skain Dawaget (a.k.a. Skain the Crafter)
Both a role model and master engineer, Skain the crafter was one of the wisest, the most renowned craftsman of his time, Skain is still studied today and his spirit has been contacted twice by high sages hoping to learn more secrets from the genius.
Born in the small town of Behular in 1470, Skain was born to Agen-Ry of house Dwaget and Dortha of house Kaladem. Skain learned the importance of adversary at the young age of 12 after his mother passed away due to a raging minotaur invading Behular.
At the age of 25, Skain was on one of the three ships to travel to Nomansland in 1445, where he carved the citadel of Moonketh which was modeled after the minotaur that slew his mother. but his visit to Nomansland was cut short due to a dangerous spider bite contracted while in a boat painting the waves, but it seems his philosophy proved useful, as his painting: "Seas and Sparrows" is widely regarded as one of the best paintings of all time, mainly due to the hallucinogenic properties of the sea spider that bit him.
in 1434, Skain went on a voyage to see all the realms of Ayeem. he visited The Greenlands, Nygonvau, Khylotus, Greybeard lands, Briarland, and what was at the time Wystwynd, where he studied pinecones and discovered a peculiar pattern in the spirals within them, which he later used when constructing the 13 Disks of Mayel.
But sadly, in his first winter of Wystwynd, Skain contracted sugar sickness after becoming captivated by the dragonplums of the white peaks. and his wisdom and unique perspective of the world had left the world at the young age of 36. but his works still live on in the hearts of many artists, crafters, and even mathematicians.
