Kyonrach Mountains (K-EYE-on-rach (as in Loch) Mountains)
The Kyonach Mountains are a harsh, rocky mountain range in the far north of Ket'rani. The mountains border the Northern Wildlands, a rocky, desert-like landscape. The highest peak of the mountain range is the Psychon peak, reaching around 1900ft in height.
Nestled within the Mountain Range lies the fortress city of Achthrastin, a great fortress that burrows deep into the mountains.
This region is home to many species, such as goliaths, dwarves, elves and, most notably, ghosts. Perhaps the most dangerous aspect of the mountain range is the fact that the highest peak, housing the the Ravenspire, a grand temple to the Goddess of Death, is the gateway between planes, meaning spirits are drawn to the area and wander the Psychon Peak freely, wreaking terror on all they come across. While the temple's construction helped to contain these spirits to the confines of the mountain, at certain times of the year where the boundary between planes thins, such as solstices and days of honour for the dead, the boundary restraining the spirits breaks, and they are set loose upon the mountain.
