The Bounders

The original Aarakocra that came from the Aborrior Peaks, these Aarakocra were the first to discover the Spire Tree in the Whispering Peaks and are also known as the Bounderaks. After setting up base camp surrounding this tree, they discovered their beliefs of spirituality and built temples to respect them. After building a society surrounding this culture they expanded out until they split to form several other tribes that would oppose them in the future. After taking control of the passage in and out of the Chained Temples that connect to the Spire Tree, they taxed those that wished to meditate there. Those that couldn't afford to, revolted against the Bounderaks or lost their minds after feeling abandoned by themselves. As a part of this tribe you feel superiority over the other tribes as you are more connected to the goodness of yourself than the other disconnected, fractured and doubting tribes. They are to an extreme, seen as filthy or less worthy of respect and are easily perceived as evil, an enemy to be warred against. As the Spire Tree begins to rot however, the faith you held onto begins to loosen it's grasp and your inner spirituality is losing its potency and therefore you're losing conscience of yourself. Your power is endangered and you need to fix this. Through adventuring outside of the Whispering Peaks, separating yourself from the temples and risking your internal sanity you venture out to find a solution to fix this decay that threatens your tribe. Your people rely on you, as you are dependent on yourself for if you fail you feel as though you will lose yourself and your people forever. Being a part of this tribe grants you the following benefits:
  • +1 Wisdom
  • Proficiency in History and Nature
  • +2 tool proficiencies
