Rakhidamne

The historical capital of the Khaderian alliance, Rakhidamne is located in the northern Nimnoan plains. It is known for its high walls, colorful streets and the Spacewreck Mnyrshudola, around which the core of the city was built.
It is said to have been built by the original Heukhins, who settled down after finding Rudamayihatha, the Holy Staff. Mnyrshudola, where they found the staff, became a place of worship and political gatherings, roles which it retains to a certaing degree even now. Since its making, the citadel has bore witness to may bloody battles and sieges, but most remarkably is the fact that its defenders have never suffered a major defeat while in it. This has given Rakhidamne the image of a safe haven to people from all four corners of Khadero and beyond, resulting in a steady influx of people throughout the centuries.
Nowadays Rakhidamne still holds a very central religious and cultural significance, but the capital was moved a few centuries ago to Khadal Haniy, a more centralized city, in order to accomodate the Alliance's much larger territory. Regardless, many consider the citadel to be the true capital of Khadero, even now, a fact that is further reinforced by the presence of both the High Council (Makhi Nasala) as well as the Damyekhith, the Heukhin religious leader. This part of the Khaderian central government remains in Rakhidamne due to its proximity to the Mnyrshudola ruins, a place tied to their roles.
The city's main activity is farming: all the nearby areas have been turned into fields, with the soil being very fertile (most likely thanks to the volcanic activity in the northern Nimnoan region) and the river Nared running along the eastern side of Rakhidamne and skirting the citadel itself. A harbor was built more recently, since the city's defensive function was all but abandonned. This has made trade and transportation increasingly commonplace in Rakhidamne, revitalizing the city and causing a mass exodus from the sparesly populated surrounding into the ancient city.
