Zeda
Zeda is the heart of the Zenan kingdom, and where the king presides over. This lordship is a beautiful cut of land going from an amazing shore line to golden fields of grass, which in the right seasons look like fields of gold, on the edges of the plains there is a magnificent forest that transforms into towering snowy mountains. This land is bordered by a river to the north and is at the back of the bay. The lorrdship has two cities that are vital to the kingdoms success.
Goldguard is a more inland city, getting its origin as a gathering for the farmers of the area. The state still has a lord and dukes in the cities because the king is busy enough without managing the cities and land. The capital is Goldguard. This city is extremely wealthy and has turned into a banking power for the world. The wealthiest families have some sort of stake in this city whether it is property, investments, or some other alternative pathway. This has become the biggest city after the war and is under multiple expansions in the present to build a new exterior wall as well as more places for people to live. Goldguard is mainly populated by humans, halflings, with a growing population of dwarves and gnomes, but it isn’t abnormal to see most races here. This city is very focused on education whether it be magical or skill based. This is where many politicians find themselves. Goldguard is home to the most prestigious magic school in Zena, having instructors from the mysterious Izan and members occasionally sitting on the king’s council. The school's name is Passonia and most individuals who know formal magic recognize the name immediately. The city is a sight that is unforgettable once you can see it. How some towers are built so high but yet the city expands further and further out.
Obviously the entire place is very forward thinking for the kingdom and loves unity in which their lordship brought. Lots of experimental tech finds a start here if it is for the kingdom, if not here it is in their dwarven allies cities. The city does have its flaws in the form of treating the lower class terribly, organized crime, and government corruption. Money will take you far here but so will special skills and talents, but this city is not for the faint of heart, some say even sleeping here is difficult.
(Players coming from Goldguard can be from two different walks of life. They can part of the wealthy part of the city, indulging in the finest amenities in the kingdom or they can be form the population oof servants and laborers that work within the city. Most races can be found here. If you are to be a noble or another position of power this is were you would come from. Dispositions range from loving the kingdom and being happy with the king to despising the king and hating what the kingdom has brought into your life.)
Also in Zeda is the shipping capital of Zena, the city of Ropan, which is the biggest port on the continent. This city has developed mainly on and around the water which has led to the construction of magnificent buildings over the water. This unique city is likely the longest city in the world, since waterfront land is very important to the city. In most port areas the buildings are made of wood but this city is made of solid marble in most major buildings but still has plenty of elegant wooden constructions as well as dinky shacks. This city is the one you are most likely to find those from distant lands due to its high degree of trade. Compared to Goldguard this city is much less stuck up and a lot more community oriented. The military presence here is not widespread because this city hasn’t made many accommodations to increase their presence. The city is very tourist focused but doesn’t like new people trying to settle into their society. The majority of the population isn’t wealthy but everyone gets by alright. The majority of food comes from the sea with fresh markets all over the city. Interestingly this city also gets a fair amount of fruit either locally or from trade. The tech presence here is lacking, since they would rather opt for hard work instead of finding ways to cut corners. The most advanced piece of technology is the train station which is the second largest only behind the capitals.
(Players who want to be part of some ship crew could be from here. If you want to play a fisher, a trader, or some person who generally is lukewarm on the government this is a good place for you. This is also a community focused group, so keep that in mind while you make a character.)
