Pesnye

Pesnye is home to the second largest farming hub in Zena, only behind Capis. Pesnye has mild summers and cold winters, which makes their growing smaller than Capis. The area is mildly forested and has a number of small hills. The proximity the mountains doesn't only bring fowl weather but it also brings in dangerous beasts looking for food.
Kitford has had to defend itself off from beasts which has lead to the construction of heavy fortifications. The city has supplied living quarters to most farms in the area in return for a cut of their produce. This means the city has all the food it needs for the harsh winter it can experience being so close to the mountains. The city also has a fully functional aqueduct from the nearby Silver River, bringing freshwater to them year round. Kitford has been much more resistant to growth because of the high danger in some months and the difficulty in constructing for more people without having to adjust a lot, so this city has seen the least change in population. It has seen more protective structures built with a larger guard station, additional towers, and the construction of a central commanding tower. The area of this lordship is settled between rivers, which supplies the land with plenty of water and nutrients to keep it flourishing. The rivers aren’t the easiest to navigate due to their dangerous water flows but they do a good job of searching for some fish every year for the city to have a big harvest feast. The dangers here come from the mountains, beasts that can take down the nearby giants, which means big trouble for the city. Things like large drakes, massive spiders, yeti, wicked giants, and other massive entities that are able to survive and hunt off the plentiful wildlife population in the less inhabited areas of Zena. This city is best known for the newest tradition for a handful of the cities, and that is the arena. The Stormhaven Arena was first built to keep the military trained for the area, but as soon as the war was over they repurposed it for fighters to take on each other or to take on beasts. They have a unique way of being able to close the roof to make it an indoor arena for inclement weather. This city has a love for events and parties but understands when they have to get to work. Kitford has a small magic school that the guild hall decided to build because they have a lot of budding talent that doesn’t want to travel out of Pesnye, they named their school Brityce. They have taken the kingdom very graciously and have found a way to preserve their own cultures. This city is also a major reason why the giants accepted the terms of the kingdom. They have had favorable relations before and wanted to continue since the twisted giants are a threat to both cities so they have been two peas in a pod.
