Edin

Eden has some of the most picturesque areas of Avera with towering mountains, lush lands, and great weather but this area of the world has seen some of the worst bloodshed of the modern era. Thanks to the warfare here it is an area that grows rare death associated flora. Hypatia was the site of the largest battles in the war with the city being under siege for weeks. The city is still rebuilding to this day, for once it was a gem of the continent acting as a hub of activity for the different lordships across the land just to be ravaged by war and left for dead. The kingdom has since had an enormous amount of guards stationed here because the kingdom is worried about the embers of revolution reigniting here. The people of Hypatia were divided post defeat, since they were quite powerful before many of the aristocrats left for the newly founded capital to carve out a new slice of land. Some stayed to try to rebuild their old dynasties. The city was largely focused on trade but in more recent years has been focused on the production side of the kingdom, with the home of the largest factories and being the sole city that has managed a trade deal with Bridgewell to import a good deal of raw metals to turn into metal goods. They still have a magic school that managed to shield itself from a lot of siege and as such protected many of the civilians during the endless sieges. This school mainly takes enrollments from students whose views differ from the primary options. It is the school of Pragia. Those that live here are still upset at the kingdom and have hard feelings for those that have benefited from its coming about. They tend to avoid kingdom sponsored things like becoming a soldier but this doesn’t always hold true. There is some unrest here but it is kept at a very low rumble because the guards are allowed to use any means necessary to keep the city “safe”.   (Players coming from Eden likely loathe the kingdom and most things associated with it. Along with having a strong aversion from the government they are also the most likely to reignite a war with the help from Arlak.)
