Banto

The climate here is very similar to Capis but it gets a lot colder here and it is a lot wetter. Since the weather isn’t ideal for crops here they do two things, they grow harder foods like potatoes and rotate the lands with large herds of cattle. This is due to the ever present threat of sinkholes and floods that could ruin a plains soil so the cattle make up for the unpredictability. They import a lot of grain to feed the cattle but they are fine doing so because they produce far more meat than they can eat, making it very important to many people's lives here.
Mossharbor is the major city in this lordship due to its connection is a large lake and a sailable river to the ocean. It doesn’t see much trade because it is not the most pleasant to travel to but the waterway is still active with some ships, just not all are well intentioned. Banto is known primarily for its meats but the other thing it is known for is the amount of crime that is seen in this lordship. The kingdom has tried to fix it but a massive guard presence just made this worse and more bloody. Banto in general is also known for being cowards for not standing up in the war and just surrendering when there was no grain coming in, which in turn probably saved them thousands of lives in both people and cattle.
The people here are tough and sharpened to protect themselves. The people that you see here of all sorts of colors with a collection of orcs, lizardfolk, tengu, gnoll, hobgoblin, goblin, along with the humans and halflings, with a few scattered dwarves and elves. This town throws people off because many of the inhabitants are typically seen as enemies like the orcs. This is because many orcs nowadays have become twisted halves of themselves, who seek violence, this phenomenon is unknown and being investigated which does bring many scientists here to figure out why these beings aren’t like the rest. This lordship is strongly allied with the crown but poses very little military importance, and in fact the military is largely mocked here. ( If you want to play a mild anti military character, some exotic races, shady backgrounds, or some version of a scientist this is your place).
