3.02 - Aura of Noir

General Summary

The Bad Idea's speak with Detective Nick Ryder to get the facts on the case. However when they approach, they find that Nick is surrounded by a field of magic affecting the perceived world around him. He seems to take no notice of the effect though he does mention it is a 'gift from someone from his homeworld, something to remember from where he comes'
The party find a frozen body in the middle of the nightclub Church. The ice is seemingly unaffected by attempts to thaw it.
They then interview the Bartender, Elrick Windrider (Jeff) about the incident. He didn't see much, other than a beautiful woman with blue skin talking to a regular named Prust Gordon.
They then interview Rick (Sick Rick) at his home. Rick's collection of dolls around him, he tells the party that he overheard Prust and the woman argue just before the incident. He also admitted, due to a wonderful roll by Aalan, that he tried to steal a ring from her, but that it was 'frozen in place'.
Lastly the team went to interview the homeless person Willy (William the Banished). Upon entering an alleyway they were jumped by shadowy figures they recognized as ShadowKi
