Eran Castle

Eran has the largest castle in the Kingdom of Eradia, while originally it was a normal castle, upon founding the kingdom the castle was to serve as the court for the king and was expanded several times to fulfil this purpose. The castle has four courtyards where the buildings are centred around, the inner bailey and east bailey were part of the original castle, while expansions added the lords and west baileys. The east bailey is the main entrance and is surrounded by buildings containing the barracks and storage. The bailey itself is used as a training field for the guard. The inner bailey contains the keep, which was itself expanded, and contains both the courtroom (throne room) and the living space for the royal family, as well as the councilchambers. The west and lords bailey were added as extra living space and storage for the needs of lords and servants that are present in court from other parts of the kingdom, as well as the growing needs of workers for the administration of the kingdom.

The castle serves as the residence of the royal family and the location of the court of the king of Eradia
