Wyndevale
Demographics
Wyndevale is located in a region primarily inhabited by humans and thus contains mostly humans from Weigriff. However, it is a port city and a trade city, so there are small populations of foreigners mixed in, the largest minority being orcs. Dwarves and elves would equally follow a ways behind the orcs in population.
Wyndevale is a very prosperous city full of merchants, traders, and craftsmen. It has a notably larger middle class than most other populated cities, sitting somewhere around 45-50% of the population. The remaining population is about 3% upper class and the rest lower class. Many of its lower class citizens are peasants living outside of its walls on the outskirts of the city.
Defences
The inner city is protected by large stone walls, whilst the outer parts of the city have nothing more than a few watch towers to watch for invaders.
Industry & Trade
Most of Wyndevale's economy is craftsman work. It imports a number of raw materials from the surrounding towns and villages of Weigriff and processes those into refined goods and crafts. Many of the finished works are then sold locally or exported to other countries via ship.
History
Wyndevale was founded in [some year that makes sense] by Warren Wyndersen, who led humans and orcs of Everspring and Kragonar into battle against draconians who were pushing west into their lands. It was originally intended to be a strong foothold that could be easily accessible by ship, but eventually became the main settling place of many humans moving out East and seeking a safe place to live.
Geography
Wyndevale is built around the mouth of the Weigriff River, on the coast of the Gulf of Weigriff. Most of the surround lands are grasslands.
