Kragonar
Structure
Kragonar is ruled by a mixture of monarchy and oligarchy. There is a king who holds by far the most power of a single individual, but they contend with several other nobles whose combined power can overrule the king's.
The current king is Jzaroth Stonefist.
History
The kingdom of Kragonar was established in 8188 as a response to the growing influence of the new dwarven kingdom of Kharag'thor. Prior to Kharag'thor, there were no major governing bodies that had widespread influence or control. Populations instead operated on more of a city or small regional level. With the founding of Kharag'thor, other existing populations were pressured into forming a major governing body of their own lest they become subject to the whims of a far more organized and wide reaching government than their own.
Based on the demographics of the time, three kings were chosen to rule together, each a representative of their race: an orc, a human, and an elf. The jor'kan, who at the time made their home in northern Everspring and the northern Stoneheart Mountains, were too little in number and too disinterested in political culture to put forth their own king. The original borders of Kragonar were comprised of the coasts of Auros on the northern and southern sides, the Stoneheart Mountains from coast to coast on the western side, and extended east to Dunmaul and the river that runs through modern day Wyndevale. Despite the incredibly large landmass claimed by this new kingdom, most inhabitants lived in Everspring, the northern Kragonar Highlands, and The Direwood.
