Aldore

Structure

Aldore is ruled by a non hereditary monarchy supported by a council of nobles. Each new ruling family is determined by the council as the previous one passes or steps down. The noble families on the council stay relatively the same and are rarely replaced or removed from council.

History

The kingdom of Aldore was formed in the year 9620 in response to dwindling power and representation of the elves in the tri-kingdom of Kragonar. Orcish and human populations were growing more quickly, and elven society had moved away from the other races to the forests of The Direwood. The elven king of the time, Aryus Whisperwind, decided it was best for the elven people to split off into their own kingdom. With their succession he created a new system of ruling similar to the modern day one in which a council elected and supported a new noble family each generation.
The kingdom of Aldore is currently ruled by Syrios Adonar.
