Humanoids
The Humanoids is an encapsulating grouping for several species of semi-human, semi-Bipedal peoples within Aurora. This species has physical and genetic characteristics from both species, appearing as more of a "hybrid."
Originally Humanoids were the result of the early intermingling between Bipedals and the Homo-Exoticus species, being a somewhat "intermediate" stage as both the Bipedals and Homo-Exoticus would evolve through generations. Most humanoid family trees would eventually be bred out, either becoming more genetically and physically like Bipedals or Auroran Humans (Homo-Exoticus-Antarcticus), the succeeding species to the Homo-Exoticus.
While most humans and Bipedals would become incompatible as time progressed, many Humanoids would retain genetic compatibility to both. However, since it was predisposed for Humanoid and non-Humanoid offspring to become less Humanoid over time, most Humanoid families have tried to only mingle with others of their species, and generally within their subspecies to preserve the existence of Humanoids.
Today, Humanoids make up less than 1% of the total population of Aurora.
