Mir, God of Beasts & the Hunt
Mir is the God who encompasses the hunt, father of all beasts, and also known as the Huntsmen. Mir is the God who had created the Great Hunt in which mortals such as the Nomadan, Dryad, Garuda, Sorgons, Zuatanians, Nerians and Seidins participate in and are integrated to some degree within their cultures. The God is said to enjoy a good hunt as he sees it as sport and even congratulates mortals on their hunts even if they don’t know it. Great hunters and even those who worship Mir are said to be transported to his realm of the Hunter’s Kingdom where their souls live onto hunt in the afterlife. Within his realm, there are many different biomes that resembles Aurora’s to make these hunts within his realm authentic. Populated by all matter of predator and prey, it is the huntsmen’s playground and a sensory overload for all hunters. An eternal open season for all as they constantly hunt and celebrate afterwards, here they may experience the thrill of the hunt for all time. Though he may hold cruel traits as a hunter, Mir is not deceptive, he’s entirely predictable. He’s the huntsman, and rule of engagement when it comes to the Great Hunt are clear and concise. There is no injustice in the hunt, sportsmanship is key in any game, the prey is the underdog but it is never impossible for them to overcome the odds and turn the tides of the game, becoming the hunter. Mir prefers the predator-prey relationship, it’s not simply about the process of spilling blood, it is about the skill it took to spill that blood, the journey is more important than the destination. Mir is also known to be a shapeshifter and has taken many forms throughout his history which he has used to his advantage in hunts. During a special hunt called the Wild Hunt, which only happens every century, Mir and his inhabitants of his realm step into Aurora and participate in this game. Mortals who are brave enough participate as it is a guarantee passage to Mir’s respect.
