Discovery of magic

The Merons opened a gate to Elisium and thereby unleashed the demons from their world. Even though the Merons brought a whole army with them, the fight was over in a few seconds because of the magical powers of their opponent. They possessed most of the men and incinerated the rest. After the Head and King of the Meron-Dynasty saw this kind of power he surrendered to this devilish forces and signed a pact with them. The demons need a permanent anchor that connects the two worlds to roam Aurodia freely. The demons wanted this kind of connection, and in return, they were willing to give House Meron the gift of magic. The reckless king accepted the agreement, but for a high price - he had to sacrifice his wife and son to this otherworldly deities as the blood of a royal family is enough to build such an anchor. As he slit the throats of his family members, both souls were sucked into the gate. A few seconds later, thousands of spirits left the gate at once and thereby filled the world with magic. The king felt betrayed and said he didn't agree to this, but the demons told him that the only way of allowing humans to use magic is by sharing their body with a demon. As the king recognized that he was tricked and just allowed and demon invasion to take place and started to become angry he was struck by one of the spirits which merged right into his body and trough that giving him the gift of magic. As he felt the immense power in his body something began to change - he was still angry, but for another reason: He didn't want to share this power with anyone and therefore ordered his last surviving man to track down and kill everyone else that got this gift. When his sister that was with him on this journey heard this, she couldn't handle it anymore. She was already traumatized by seeing parts of her family being killed by her brother, but this was the last that was needed to snap her mind. She charged at the leader of the demons in hopes to kill him and thereby close the gate. As she charged towards the devil, he used a spell to corrupt the very essence of here with the strongest of magic. After he was done, he accidentally created the first of a new race - an elf.
