Villtur
The Savages of the North
Idiots! There are no treasures in the North. If you are lucky, you only get yourself killed by wild animals or the cold. If not, you come across some of the Villtur and get eaten alive. Well, at least try to lure them away from our gates so that leastways we can live for another day... ~ Lambert Appell, Sentinel at Théodore's GateThe Villtur are a group of nomadic tribesmen living in the southern part of the Frozen Wastelands. They are infamous for their barbaric behavior as most of them kill and plunder everything they come across. Usually, they can't go across the vast mountain range of the Darkscale-Mountains and the only official passage is guarded by elite soldiers of all the different houses within huge fortresses and towers. The biggest of these defenses is Théodore's Gate.
Culture
Major language groups and dialects
In contrast to all the other human ethnicities, the Villtur speak their own language of which is only very few known. This inexperience is the case because most of the Villtur don't let themselves get captured and instead want to die in battle. If somehow one gets captures he refuses to eat until he dies of starvation (probably to punish themselves of being captured in the first place).
Shared customary codes and values
The Villtur-Tribes are used to living in the cold and unforgiving environment of the Frozen Wasteland (or "Banven Gildru" as they call it). They all work together in their individual tribes to make life as effortless as possible. For this, they divide themselves up into different groups of hunters, gatherers, builder, and warriors so that all essential parts of their society are fulfilled.
Average technological level
The Villtur lead a rather simple lifestyle. They know the basics of advanced weapon-making and tailoring but lack the resources to do so. They usually build their tools out of sharp stones and their clothing out of the furs of hunted animals. The only way of gaining better equipment is by plundering the remains of adventurers or guardsmen that dare to go too far north.
Recently some of the scouts that ventured deeper into their realm report of peculiar weapons made out of shimmering ice that some of their warchiefs wielded.

Art & Architecture
The Villtur life a nomadic lifestyle and customarily build their temporary huts out of bones, sticks, and hides. They create large totems whenever they set up camps; presumably to claim the territory as theirs.
Coming of Age Rites
A kid is only considered a true Villtur if it manages to survive in the Frozen Wasteland for three days entirely on their own. As soon as he completes this task, he is considered an adult. Apart from that, it does not matter how old you are to be considered an adult.
Common Taboos
A Villtur is not allowed to flee from a fight. If one does so, he is considered an outcast of the tribe and has to leave immediately.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
The Villtur don't really care about any beauty ideals. Anyhow they prefer more muscular and robust partners as they can protect one another in a fight. They also wear their scares with proud as they state that someone has fought in a battle and survived.
Relationship Ideals
There is nothing like marriage in the culture of the Villtur. If one wants to go intimate with another soul, they live side by side until one of them wants to look for a new partner.
