Wicks

Physical Description: Roughly humanoid in shape, this race resembles that of a sentient candle. Bipedal in nature, the body shape of Wick can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. While they are made up entirely of a waxy material, that material is much more durable than normal candle wax.Similar to the flame of an Everburning Torch, the Wicks’ flame does not give off heat, nor can it be easily extinguished. It has been noted that the only time a Wick’s flame has been extinguished is when the individual died, be it either from natural causes or from wounds the body suffered. Lore: The Wicks were originally created in the depths of the Misty Mountains where, due to the mountain’s mind-altering fog, the race became lost and confused. For years they were forced to endure the fog and live in a state of confusion, but thanks to a chance encounter, had met with the Mountain’s first inhabitants, the Lunaris; a race of moth-like people created by Cujokra. As time went on, the Wicks too were able to develop a sort of resistance against the fog, and in an attempt to repay the Lunaris decided to join forces with one another and work together as the Mountain’s guides. If an explorer/adventurer was to traverse these mountains, it would be a common sight to see a Wick and Lunaris traveling the trails together; the Wick serving as a beacon of light while the Lunaris guides the way.



Relations: Wicks are simple beings, and are neutral in almost every way imaginable. They do like to help others who might be in need and will therefore help anyone they might encounter and do so without harboring any ill will towards that person. Because of their close relations with the Lunaris, they are the most close to them and view their mothy friends to be just as close as family.
