Artifizing

This is a method of drawing power from gems that doesn't require the user to resonate with the gem in any way. In this method the gem is placed in an apparatus that works to draw the power from the gem using disonance to "break" the magic within it. Once put into one of these contraptions the gem can be used for anything as simple as a small charm that works as a hand warmer to a larger apparatus powering a method of transport. This method however unlike Stonesinging will slowly drain power from the stone causing it to eventually become completely inert, first losing its color and eventually fracturing. For most tasks any charged crystal will work such as the crystals mined in the central caves, gem sparks or the horns of gem deer. But for more advanced or powerful machines Tataluk's Heart Gems are required.
