The Codex of Lore

Actually a complex, annotated history of Auras. The only truly complete Codex is kept by Corlan in his inner sanctum and study at the Pillar of Light. Copies found within the world are either kept in his temples, carried by his clerics and priests, or found in libraries. These copies contain an abridge telling of the founding of The Accord (The birth of the Alethean Pantheon and the ending of the Time of Tumult) as well as the history of the continent and culture/nation of the church, cleric, or library to which it belongs complete with notes and observations about moral, ethical, political, and tactical lessons that can be learned from the events recorded.   Clerics of Corlan copy and receive theirs as part of their initial training and incur no costs. A temple acquires, updates, and maintains their own copies and thus cost is built into the overhead of the temple's operation. Any noble, library, or organization that commissions the crafting of a copy for their own possession incurs a cost of not less than 500 gp as the tome caries heavy enchantments and divinations to prevent unauthorized alterations and alert the crafting temple of any attempts to make those changes.

Manufacturing process
