Her sexuality was a heated topic after her death, as she left no living heirs and was never married. Some speculate that her close ties to a particular women was more then a close friendship, as close to the end of her life they were, indeed, roommates.

Trained as an alchemist by her father, her knowledge on the subject was very extensive. She quickly rose to prominence as one of the greatest alchemists of her time even before her invention of Black Powder.
