The Redd Clergy

Structure

There are four ranks in the Redd Clergy:
  1. The Arch-Bishop
  2. The Bishop
  3. The Redd-Preacher
  4. The Clergyman
The Arch-Bishop begins the holy days of praise by blessing the Bishops, R-Preachers, Clergymen and masses by sprinkling two-fingers worth of rain water on everybody's hair with one flick. After the beginning blessing is completed, the Arch-Bishop takes His/Her seat behind and raised from the Bishops. The R-Preachers then begin their daily-rotation of that day's lesson. Then, after the R-Preachers' lesson is spoken, the Clergymen signal to the masses to begin their hymns of praise for N'uum. On the final note of the fifth song, the masses leave the church first, followed behind them are the Clergymen and R-Preachers. Then, the Bishops form a parallel set of lines of their ranks to allow the Arch-Bishop through to the exit, and they follow behind.

Public Agenda

The Redd Clergy shows to its followers that they offer guidance, justice for wrong-doings, penance for their past sins, purification rites through rain showering and rain bathing for power in battle.

History

The Redd Clergy began with Julia Redd, the first Arch-Bishop of the Church. This religious group came to be two decades before Queen Trinity Dupon's reign was over(34/1E). The Redd Clergy gained massive support during the 44th year of the First era after the Atonian and Terran peoples lost faith in their Queen's sanity. It wasn't until Svenska Redd, one of the best rulers of Ato, granted absolution for all who followed his family's religion. This began the start of the Redd Clergy formulating a Religious Nation. But, this religious state did not last, for it was the 282nd year of the Fourth era that the House of Zira came into power(42/4E an Anti-Magic reign. These rulers made sure that the Redd Clergy was stamped-out across every continent of Ato, and satellite realms of the Atonian Kingdom.

Disbandment

The Redd Clergy was dissolved under the order of the House of Zira; the Anti-Magic rulers of the Atonian Kingdom. The Arch-Bishop, Bishops, R-Preachers, Clergymen and followers of the Redd Clergy were all mass executed in the city of Longel. This mass execution happened a year before the Redd Clergy was officially disbanded(41/4E).

Mythology & Lore

The Great-Creator N'uum Trivv created the universe with his mind, giving life with his tears, blessing his creations with sapience by speech, and gave the realms bridges by his strong strands of hair. N'uum formulated that the races were to be placed specifically in each realm that he deemed the best environment for those races. The Ramshii, placed in Oxuran, were masters of the elements, and possessed the same telekinetic and teleportation magic just like the Khazarn. The Terrans, placed in Terra, were the diverse, but masters of one specific element, race that could adapt, and be better than the Ramshii, if they combined their sub-races into a single race. The Sunari, placed in Sune, were the strongest of the races. The Sunari were also the ones that could adapt like their Atonian brothers, and traverse the Ether Oceans below their floating isles one day. And, they were able to cast magic like their Terran brothers, but denied that part of their person. The Atonians, placed in Ato, were the hardiest, and adaptable, race of the bunch. The Atonians were able to adapt to many changes in the environment, climate, situation or realm. They were also smartest race out of their brethren, and rivaled the Khazarn in intellect. And, the Lonians, placed in Loxna, were the cleverest out of their kin. They could weasel out of any given situation, good or bad. And, they were also able to traverse the oceans like their Ramshii cousins. And, they could overcome limitations, if given the chance, like their Terran brethren.
