The Bloodguard
Structure
The Officers of the Bloodguard are known as "Omen Officers". The Omen Officers are the highest ranked members of the Bloodguard. The Omen Officers command their subordinates known as the "Bloodman". The Bloodman act as the frontier for the Bloodguard whenever there is an invasion of the Palace or the city walls. Any information the Bloodman have gathered is sent to the Omen Officers, who then relay that to the Queen.
Public Agenda
The Bloodguard's agenda was to protect the Queen first, Ato second, the holdings of the Atonian Kingdom third, the continent of Atonia fourth and their families fifth. If any Omen Officer or Bloodman does NOT follow these strict priorities then they are made an example of for the public and other members of the Bloodguard.
Assets
The Bloodguard are supplied by the Smiths of Longel for their weaponry. The Queen's Treasury for funding. Zealous men and women of the Atonian Kingdom for their manpower. And the support from the populace of Eastern Atonia.
History
The Bloodguard, originally, was a Political Group before Trinity Dupon set her sights on conquering Atonia. This group was known as "the Bleeding Snipes". This group went on to be a political and militia faction in the Caverns of Atii, which soon became an organization to be feared. This group strong-armed its way through Atonian history from being a small political group to a military gang into an Elite group of Palace Guards.
Disbandment
The Bloodguard was disbanded by Renald Dirk, future King of the Atonian Kingdom. The Omen Officers were questioned in public trials, but were secretly hired by King Renald to train the newly-founded Tower Guard. The Bloodman troops, however, had a worse fate. A majority of them were executed for committing crimes against nature of mutilating bodies under orders and unjust executions of Atonian Officials. Any new recruits that were still training with the Bloodguard before their disbandment were not executed, and instead, were discharged from ever serving in any capacity for the Atonian Military.
