The world is powered by manna...until today that is. It all came crashing down early on a cool fall night. Massive blue orbs appeared in the sky high above the Balmora Archipelago in the northern reaches of the planet. The orbs expanded exponentially until a massive explosion swelled outward in a wave that destroyed the magical infrastructure for life as we know it. Society was built around using magic to power everything from lives little conveniences up to the most critical daily machines and infastructure.
