A month long council held by the Xervexian Dynasty which resulted in the creation of the Soul Snare and Ouroboros Trials.

This month long council held by the Xervexian brought leaders from all lands together to propose a solution to the chaotic state of the world. The Empire was struggling to bring peace to the warring city states, Kara-Tur was rumoured to be planning an invasion, and the northern dragons awoke from deep slumbers. The people prayed to the gods and they answered the call. The Most Divine Triad, Lathander, the Raven Queen and Istus, appeared before the council with the solution they had been praying for. It came in the form of a strange magical device called the Soul Snare. Crafted by the gods themselves, it allowed those who bore their mark upon their souls - that of the three serpents, intertwined and devouring each other - to not pass over into death, but instead be captured by the device then reborn into the world. The Most Divine Triad decreed that a trial be held to determine the most worthy heroes who would become those with marked souls, who would become the saviours of all mortals.
