Athena's story

The hill folk legends say that deep in the woods the trees grow so closely together that you can walk from tree branch to tree branch without ever touching the ground and that the canopy is so thick it never lets the sun hit the ground. Well, apparently the deep woods had never heard the hill-folk legends because they rained dappled sunlight down on a pair of elf children laughing and running.
"You'll never catch me." The older one called, laughing over his shoulder.
His sister laughed but screwed up her face in concentration. Balling up her fists she put on a burst of speed and nearly tackled her brother who deftly stepped out of the way, dark brown hair swinging around him laughing.
