Session 34: The Climb

Sebastian  remembers that Kobold Mountain is the tallest mountain in the world and is in the same mountain range as Irrum Vath. The party collects a covered wagon, climbing gear, and food supplies and sets out to travel to the mountain which they assume is one and the same.
While traveling they briefly encounter a pair of humans, but Aru recognizes their auras as those of savage predators and the party leaves. Eventually they arrive at the mountain and speak with a kobold named Degar Fenn at the Fenn Weasel Ranch outside a cave entrance into the mountain. Degar ended up giving the party some information about the mountain, and failed to sell any dire weasels to them. He agreed to watch their horses until the party's return.
The party immediately set to climbing the mountain. They used their elemental gem to summon an earth elemental to navigate an ice waterfall, navigated around crevasses of varying sized on a snowy plateau, and Aru used astral arms to jam pitons into the stone of an icy slope and a vertical climb. The summit is within sight.
