Session 25: The Library

The party traveled to the library. The building itself is on a rocky outcropping looking over a lake, with towers of various eclectic designs. While approaching the structure they encountered a well dressed dwarf leading a small party of gnomes and dwarves. After overanalyzing them the party steps to the side of the road to let them pass. They entered a wooden gate into a courtyard serving as a market. They proceeded into the central structure trading a Glyph of Warding spell scroll for supervised access and were given a silver pendant of a book to signify said access. A red-haired elven woman led the party beyond a set of ornate blue doors, and into the library proper.
The party spent a week and a half at the library. Efferil learned of two precursor ruins one from a redacted mission report from millennia prior, and one somewhere called Irrum Vath translated to "The Tall Place". Efferil narrowed the location of the other ruin to the mountain range on the south end of the continent. Sebastian meanwhile, learned of an ascension ceremony that used to be performed in the time of the precursors. The ceremony is about rebirth, being the pinnacle of you, and the origins of life. He also learned that the patriarchal founder of the Tychon family was said to have had a dragon long ago. The party also found schematics for several powerful magical items. The items are an Arcane Cannon, Danoth's Visor, and a Ring of Telekinesis.
Midway through the second week Dedric messaged Sebastian notifying him that the Fimn delegation had reorganized and would be traveling through Gacade in three weeks.
Two weeks later Sebastian arrived in Gacade and was briefed. Dedric indicated that he suspected diplomatic sabotage but was unsure, and said that he had received the information while interrogating Aubron Bellefond. Sebastian knew this latter information to be a lie and suspected that it's still likely related to Aubron in some way. Dedric also handed Sebastian dossiers on several members of the delegation.
