Session 17: A Death in the Family

The party attacked the monkey demons in the burnt-out building. Fable was pummeled to death prior to the fight's conclusion. The party found the crate of puppies and Sebastian went into town to find a cart to transport them while Einar built a funeral pyre for Fable.
Einar then wild shaped into Elknar and pulled the cart with the puppies back to the dwarven monk. He was delighted to have the puppies returned but saddened to know that they came at a cost. He assumed Einar's death on account of his absence, which Sebastian played along with negotiating a puppy from him.
Elknar picked the puppy, specifically the largest of the litter. It is a black dog with a brown undercarriage that they later named Tale.
The following day the party went to investigate the experiment site to find a trampled pair of large purple/green plants with goop and large, presumably demon, monkey pawprints about. Sebastian took samples of the plants and the goop.
The party then returned to Wyndover where they waited until nightfall to break back into city hall. There they stole the research notes and some correspondence that they had found previously.
They then departed to meet with Dedric in Gacade .
