Flashdust

Flashdust is a processed form of the naturally occurring mineral blackrock. Though not powerful enough to do any real damage unless in enormous quantities it has found relatively notable use in minor explosives that are often ignited at some cultural celebrations. Additionally, some mining endeavors have been known to use large piles of the powder as a blasting agent.
In recent years, engineers in the kingdom of Jairhold have begun experimenting with ways to weaponize the powder. By not relying on the powder's combustibility itself as a way to cause damage but instead using it as a propellant, they have created a small number of fearsome weapons capable of hurling projectiles at astonishing speeds.
