Character Creation

General

• If this is your first character, you'll be starting at level 1. Welcome to Olmir!
• If you roll for stats, have a DM double check for balance, or use the standard array or point buy if you want
• Any official 5e content, Unearthed Arcana, or Mercer's homebrew is fine, for other homebrew consult a DM first
• Optionally you may come up with 3-5 rumors others may have heard about your character, in any combination of good or bad and true or false; send these to a DM and they'll be added to the rumor mill
• If you choose to roll for HP at levels beyond first, you may reroll as many times as you like, subtracting 1 from the result for each time you reroll (minimum total of 1 + modifiers)

Death and Retirement

• If your character falls in combat and isn't revived, you may roll up a new character at the bottom of the deceased's current "tier" (level 1, 5, 11, or 17, depending) or any level below that
• If you currently have a retainer or other follower, you may choose instead to make that character your new main PC
• If you grow tired of your current PC, you may have them retire, either taking up a non-adventuring job in Olmir or sailing to Atalia, and then roll up a new character as if they had died
