Forgotten Guardian

You awaken from a deep slumber, your body is slow to respond and when it does your gears grind and whine. You look around your surroundings, you sit in the ruins of a once great city. The ruins of a city that you were charged to protect, a city that you once called home. You cannot remember what events transpired to cause this destruction or why you failed to stop it. All you truly remember is that you are a Guardian, the rest you have forgotten

The Forgotten Guardians were created during the age of the Golden Dawn to be impartial upholders of law and order. They were feared and respected judges and mighty defenders of Asundriss. For eons these constructs of law have laid dormant and cold in the ruins of once great civilizations but now with the resurgence of humanoids these beings have begun to awaken. Some believe they have awoken to once again uphold law and order, others fear that it is a bad omen. Not even the Guardians themselves know why they have awoken, their memories of the time before they fell dorment are clouded and incomplete. Now these Guardians wander the waste lands searching for answers, hoping to regain their lost memories and find a new purpose.

Created To Protect
You were designed to protect those around you no matter the cost. When one of your allies within 5ft of you is attacked you may use your reaction to intercept the attack and you take the damage instead.

You don’t need to sleep and don’t suffer the effects of exhaustion due to lack of rest, and magic can’t put you to sleep.

Sentry's Rest
When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you appear inert, but it doesn’t render you unconscious, and you can see and hear as normal.
