Government

Whitefield operates on a Council of Artisans system. Now, three of the remaining artisans form the Artisan’s Council, governing by consensus. Each artisan has a unique responsibility regarding trade, infrastructure, and resources, though the townsfolk largely govern themselves, with few laws beyond a code of conduct that emphasizes respect and craftsmanship. Blake’s absence is often discussed in hushed tones, but his legacy remains strong.

Defences

While Whitefield does not have any formal military presence, it is protected by a loose network of retired adventurers who have made the town their home. These veterans of various wars serve as informal guardians of the settlement, keeping watch from the shadows and ready to defend against any threats. The artisans themselves are known to possess powerful weapons and magic, left over from their days of adventure, which can be called upon if needed.
