Venn the Magnificent

Venn was a hopeful young boy growing up in the slums of Griffinweld. Having always dreamed of a better life. He had wondered what a person of talents could do to earn a better life. Ever the perfectionist, he had a creative urge that could be filled by art or acting. He managed to get some work in the kitchens of the royal castle. During a banquet for a young lord Yannex’s birthday, he had seen the wonders of magicians who would come and perform in the royal banquet halls while working in the kitchens and as a server. When he saved (and subtly stole) enough money he travelled to Playbelia to learn magic himself in order to reflect the creativity he yearned to express.
During his time in Playbelia, he was able to learn the performing arts, and earned a reputation as a great illusionist and conjurist. He was asked to return and perform at a Lord’s party in Griffinweld – Lord Yannex, who had enjoyed the magicians just as much as Venn did. While performing, Yannex was rude and drunk, a far cry from the little boy he watched in awe all those years ago. He performed greatly and everyone except the lord was impressed. Having decided to take a walk outside of the town he was approaching the seelie swamp’s edge where waterfalls line the edge of Griffinweld.
He was approached by a tipsy and loud Yannex, who was asking him questions about his work and how he became such a great mage. While trying to explain, Yannex become overcome with rage and pushed him off the edge and fell into the rocky depths below and floated down the river, once he settled. Venn was on the verge of death when he heard a voice. “Do you wish to die? Or do you wish for power long enough to get your revenge?” taking revenge, he awoke in the still waters of a nearby pond within the swamplands, with a strange new power. While seeing Yannex since then he has a plot of his own and prefers the subtleties of a mystery plot. Had decided to follow the path of the adventurers that Yannex was with and find ways to mess with them.
After hearing of the party finding a mysterious cavern filled with other worldly beings he investigated where he came face to face with the elder brain that party had left alive. The elder brain slowly brainwashed Venn, and convinced him to raise the other two members of his cult they had left behind and seek vengeance by helping the overseer. The overseer granted Venn a new rank of Virgo and the newly born Milhareth and Cedes were given an order to follow Venn and follow his orders to defeat the party as well as send many people down into the cavern. Venn’s body was given a tadpole to undergo ceremorphosis however the tadpole is a neothilid, where his body will grow as a vessel only to be released when the time is right.
He was defeated during his revenge plan against Trinn and in a fit of rage, he bound himself to the overseer becoming his emmisary. After seeing the horrible things that the overseer had done the the other planes he sacrificed himself in order to allow the archwardens to seal awat the overseer once and for all.
