Sky Innovators, The Amphibious Thinkers, Azure Engineers   Vedalken are tall and slender, standing almost a head taller than humans but weighing about the same. Their hairless skin comes in a range of shades of blue. Their eyes are darker shades of blue or violet. They lack external ears, their noses are broad and flat, and they are partially amphibious.

History

The Vedalken had come along to the Nexus plane when they had accessed the technology that allowed planar travel in their own plane. While travelling to Astrium did destroy their technology they have hidden their technology in the seelie swamp hidden beneath the murky bogs.   After the decsent of the floating castle that held the Order of Zephyr's stronghold, into the whispering alps, destroying a section of the mountainside; the vedalken explored the ruins and found technology that spark the interest for innovation and invention.   Today the vedalken spend their days in the newly repaired floating castle - they have called zephyrheim, inventing new items and re-purposing the technology to meet Astrium's needs. They are hoping to earn a seat on Astrium's council with their technological prowess.

Common Myths and Legends

The First Builder: A story of the Vedalken who constructed the first planar vessel, guiding their people to Astrium. Though the vessel was lost, its schematics are said to be hidden within Seelie Swamp The Storm Core: A fabled power source capable of infinite energy, believed to have been buried beneath the Erebus Depths. The Singing Alloy: A legend of a magical metal that harmonizes with its user’s thoughts, creating tools that function as extensions of their will.
