Typhoon Airstrider - Colddawn

Gale Sniper of Colddawn Typhoon Aereth Airstrider (a.k.a. Arrowstorm (Callsign))

Typhoon Airstrider was a renowned Air Genasi Psi-Warrior Fighter and former noble of Fogholt, known for his grace in battle and independence of spirit. Born into a family of elemental caretakers, he rejected aristocratic comforts for the call of adventure, eventually joining the mercenary guild known as the Golden Basilisks. Operating in the Lustrum-based guild cell "Colddawn," Typhoon played a pivotal role in the overthrow and sealing of the Overseer during the cataclysmic events of 830 A.D. His psionic abilities, fused with his archery and elemental wind manipulation, made him a deadly combatant. Sometime between 830 and 881, he was murdered—an act many suspect was an assassination tied to his noble heritage and the secrets he carried.   Typhoon Airstrider was a paradox—noble-born yet people-minded, a warrior with the grace of wind and the weight of lost purpose. Though his death remains unsolved, his legend lives on in Fogholt’s skies and across the guild halls of Lustrum. He embodied the unchained freedom of air, walking a path that transcended both bloodline and battlefield. The wind still whispers his name in the high cliffs and open plains of Astrium—a legacy carried not on banners, but on the breath of the world itself.   Current Status; While officially listed as a disappearance, several members of the Golden Basilisks and Cyclona Whisperstorm believe Typhoon was assassinated by agents of the Order of Zephyr or Fogholt nobility, both of whom had reasons to silence him. He was on the verge of revealing a conspiracy tying air-elemental trafficking to highborn bloodlines. The truth remains hidden, though some of his old companions—especially Ellnia and Auvillar—continue to search for answers.   Posthumous Honors: A skybound cenotaph was erected in Fogholt’s Aerie Sanctum. He was posthumously named “Skyward Sentinel of the Free Winds,” an honor reserved for those who protect the elemental harmony of Astrium.   Original Backstory
Typhoon was the son of nobility in Fogholt, being one of the first families to move into Fogholt after it was abandoned due to its links to the elemental planes. The airstrider family was a gracious one, looking after the forest district and helping it bloom with their ability to control the winds and increase pollination. Typhoon was not a one to involve himself in noble affairs, often seen “slumming” it in taverns with patrons, engaging in archery competitions with the local rangers that come to town after hunting. Typhoon was one day caught by the noble guards and dragged before his father and reprimanded for hanging with the rabble. Disgusted with his father, he left in search of a rougher lifestyle with the common folk, picking up mercenary work along the way while seeking a way to develop his powers like the rangers within Fogholt. For months Typhoon travelled through Ofrana, ending up in the mirrored grasslands, stumbling upon a lone merchant under attack from wolves. Typhoon desperate to help will the winds be with him, unlocking his innate psionic Ability to propel the arrows forward with an extreme force. Slicing through the wolves with ease. The was very merchant grateful for this help asked if he was a member of the crown’s quorum. Confused, Typhoon said he had no idea about the quorum leading the merchant to take him to a reclusive village that help the secret society. There with fellow recruits, Ghishmelk, and Ellnia. They trained to hone their own psionic abilities. Taking odd jobs hunting low level bounties that required a steady aim, he soon learned that the Airstrider family was to do business to maintain their relationship with the long-forgotten air genasi fortress hidden in the skies. The crown’s quorum had heard rumors from an associate that someone called the arbiter had supposedly worked with a group called the order of zephyr in order to overthrow the castle above, and making it mobile. Typhoon left with Ghismelk and Ellnia to head towards lustrum where they would find a hub of information. Wanting to remain anonymous for the time being, the pair split away and attempted to join the guild separately. Typhoon went to practice before signing up for the lottery, and was drafted by a group of three of the stronger looking people who approached him – A Halfling, a Loxodon and an Aasimar.
