Lunrynn
Envoy of Tide and Stone Lunrynn Shorndew (a.k.a. Tidebound Shaper)
Lunrynn of Portside is a Triton warlock whose pact with a powerful Earth Genie (Dao) has allowed him to become a living fulcrum of water and stone. Once a humble treasure diver in the Marblehaven Divide, his discovery of a shipwreck-bound Dao turned him into a conduit of dual elemental might. Known for reshaping the very battlefield beneath his enemies, Lunrynn rose to fame during the defense of Lustrum, manipulating terrain to sabotage an invading force. His calculated calm, tactical brilliance, and deep empathy have made him a trusted figure among both seafarers and spellcasters. Now serving as the Triton representative of the Astrium Alliance, Lunrynn balances diplomacy and danger in equal measure.
Lunrynn stands at the confluence of tide and stone, bearing both the weight of the earth and the freedom of the sea. Once a diver chasing dreams in the depths, he now shapes the fate of nations through diplomacy, magic, and a pact forged in silence. Though haunted by those he could not save, he uses his growing power to build bridges—between races, between elements, and between the past and the future. In every battlefield reshaped, and every peace earned, Lunrynn leaves behind not ruin—but balance.
Original Backstory
As Lustrum developed into a bustling metropolis, Lunryn grew up as a wanderer who would dive for treasures within the Marblehaven divide. His mentor Cedes left him in good spirits after leaving to join the military and he was able to use his ability to get a lay of the land in order to find the best treasures to sell in portside. One day Lunryn stumbled upon a shipwreck, that appeared to have no holes and no damage of any kind, it just appears to have taken on too much water, looking within there appeared to be nothing within the ship except a single necklace; with a deep green emerald within. Upon grabbing the necklace, a voice spoke to Lunryn, asking him to take him from this ship as his duty has been to protect the ship for far too long, many people thought this being was a demon and left the necklace where it was. The voice offered power to aid in whatever he desired. The kind soul that Lunryn was, he accepted the voices offer and took the necklace with him. As he left the ship it crumbled to dust. Lunryn was able to return to the surface and began to understand that creature in the necklace was a djinn, he became friends with the Dao, who taught him about the plane of earth and the treasures that await within Astrium if people just dug a little. Gaining popularity as a treasure hunter, he was privy to some more private conversations about treasures and rumors, one being that a lone soldier didn’t return from a scouting mission, one of the best – Cedes. He knew he couldn’t leave without costing him his well-earned money, so he looks for ways to travel at a discount, deciding to join the hunter’s guild hoping to pick a job wherever could take him a little closer. He did not have a team he trusted so decided to take his luck with the “lottery” pairing with a small lizard man, a rough looking human and a shady looking human how looked different and more “beastly”.
