Knowledge Keepers

Librarians all over Egealias are respected knowledge keepers and viewed as the true rulers of their cities. They hold and guard all the knowledge in Astrenium. They are wise and mysterious. Keeping to themselves most of the time. Many speculate that they’re a part of a secret society. Like the illuminati. No one really knows for sure. All people know is that the knowledge keepers are powerful beings. The librarians are kind natured and very understanding. They love it when youngins roam their halls in search for new worlds. Generally, not worried about noise but will come at you with FIRE in their eyes if you harm a book in anyway. Do not even think about dog earring any of them. They do have a list of fiends who do such things, and they are banned from all libraries in Egealias. Librarians are often consulted by their kings and rulers to advise on sensitive topics. They are paid very well for their services. No one messes with the librarians. Not only would that upset the kings and rulers, but they’d probably get their bums kicked by little old ladies. No one wants that humiliation. The libraries themselves are extravagant. Wall to wall shelves full of books from all over the world, and maybe a few from other worlds. We’ll get into this a little later.
Secret Society: Librarians do belong to a secret society. They’re like warrior nuns except their power comes from the knowledge they hold. They are trained in hand-to-hand combat and have a horde of weapons hidden under the library. Under the libraries there are barracks, a training ground, and blacksmithing area. No one is to know about the secrets the librarians really hold, so they can’t really contract out weapons and armor. They are very skilled.
